Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had lunch there during our stay in Kalambaka. When we arrived the restaurant was empty so we expected the service to be quick. Unfortunately after they handed out the menus, the tour groups arrived and the staff paid a lot more attention to them, handing them out menus and taking their orders while we were waiting for them to... Try this, we went to eat in a hurry, storm was coming and we hae to get something before the drive back to Parga. Meatballs were sensational, Birmini (?) vegetables in the oven melted in our mouth. Very fast service and good prices !

Went here with people I met after a hiking tour of Meteora as recommended. Our server was really funny and attentive. I had their lemon chicken and it was very well done...the meat fell off the bones! Also had both roasted feta and fried halloumi and omg so tasty!!! Their pork and chicken souvlaki were a bit on the dry... More

We found Taverna Panellinio because other restaurants were close at 10:00 pm in city center. Staff was very friendly and suggest different meals by our interest. Food was delicious and not expensive. Red dry wine was very tasty and aromatic. Baklava was perfect and fish meal excellent.

Good Greek restaurant in the center of Kalampaka next to the fountain. We had the mussaka which was lovely. The service is very friendly, the setting is nice under parasols.

It's a very relaxed place with sitting outside and in the interior which is a very pleasing atmosphere.Service was fine and the food good (chicken Panellinio excellent, meat balls just average).

Panellinio Tavern is simply the best in town. We tried a number of restaurants in Kalabaka but none of them was as good as Panellinio. Definitely recommend it

We stopped here based on a recommendation after visiting the Meteora monasteries with all of us being famished. Being Good Friday, we weren't really expecting to find a full menu but were pleasantly surprised to find that almost everything was available. As opposed to the typical Greek taverna, food comes out as individual dishes instead of plates to share. It's... More

We took our afternoon meal here after arriving in Meteora. They have a nice variety of old Greek staples including mousaka and lemon seasoned chicken. The homemade French fries cooked in olive oil are very nice.

Restaurant-Taverna Panellinion was built in 1950 and its located in the City Hall central square of Kalambaka.
Its a familly buisness and is open all year long.
In winter we serve our home made traditonal dishes in a stone decorated warmy room and in summer we offer you our big shady square where customers can view the unique Meteora rocks next to the city fountain.
