The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. The scenery was out of this world and the food was excellent and clean.

This is the only food option in Dimmuborgir Park and it has a very nice view of the forest as the cafe is perched at the top. They do not have a big seating area but since we were there in winter, there weren't many people. They have a small menu and I thought the food was pretty average. It's... More

Went there three adults with two kids. Good service and positive staff. We had some hot chocolate and coffee and some small dishes. We will be back.

Food was good for a lunch stop - decent coffee and a vegetarian curry soup with larva bread. Others in my group tried meat soup, burgers or fish and everyone seemed to enjoy. The fish and burger were cooked as requested. There was a nice little gift shop next door and the bathrooms were very clean. We visited on the... More

It's the only place around to get a bite but it's ok just was very busy. The location and views are good and it was good to eat some local delights.

Visited this little cafe adjacent to Dimmuborgir with a nice adjoining gift shop. Price is no different than most other lunch stops in Iceland - pricey everywhere we went. Someone in our party ordered the soup and bread buffet which included Icelandic Meat Soup - a widely offered specialty allover Iceland with a lamb base. We opted for burgers which... More

Stopped here for lunch where we sampled the Iceland meat soup, asparagus soup and bread. Okay, it takes some getting used to spending $20 for a bowl of soup, but these soups were delicious and, unlike many places which give you a single serving, here we were able to have multiple bowls and sample more than one soup. We grabbed... More

A family run place and the host was a very friendly guy. It combines a store with a restaurant adjacent to the lava park. The daily trout special was excellent and a little less expensive than the usual Iceland cost. The view of the mountain as clouds enveloped it at dusk was phenomenal. Feels like a friendly local diner more... More

Amazing soup buffet deal for 2000kr. Includes Geyser Bread which they bake in the ground! Freddie the chef and managr of the cafe was lovely. We tried all the soups and was very satisfied. Loved the Icelandic meat soup! Right next to the Dimmuborgir hikes, which are very clearly signed. Lovely souvenir shop. Freddie and Halla are very helpful to... More
