Ever since I was a child, my father drove me miles in from the country to get chips and batter burgers in our favourite 'restaurant': The Fry. When I became a college student vegetarian, I lived all week for the veggie burger (always ask them to omit the ketchup though) suppers he'd buy me driving me home at the weekend.... More

I went to the fry to get some chips because I was too lazy to cook my own and I must say I was quite happy with it. It was fairly cheap and I got a load of chips. The staff had a great sense of humour and were very friendly. Great chipper

Ordered Burgers, Breast in bun, chicken tenders, and sausage supper, all excellent, only gripe was the chips! The chips were disappointing, very crispy, burnt, not a decent chip in the packs. I have got take away from the Fry previously and I might have just got unlucky this time!

The best chipper in Cork. That says it all really. I guess one of the best things about The Fry is how fresh everything is. Their chips are home made, which you can clearly see behind the counter. Everything is prepared fresh in front of you. Portion sizes are extremely generous, huge in fact. If you order a small chips,... More

This is a real fish and chip shop. The chips are fantastic. I would recommend the chicken breast. The portions are huge. Very friendly staff. There is always a queue, but it moves along quickly enough.

Old school chipper, proper chips and tasty grub. Would highly recommend. Great value and a friendly bunch of people. Anytime I am passing through I just can't resist the chips, McDonalds this is not.

I call in here regularly because they have the best chips in the County. Real chips, that they make themselves from potatoes that you can see for yourself by looking into the prep area from the counter. I say that they are the best in the County because I've sampled a lot of chips over the years. Very generous portions.... More
