We stayed in the castle overnight and decided to eat in restaurant. My wife had a chicken dish and I had a pork dish. Neither meal was up to the standard I would expect from this establishment. Should have eaten in the bar

My sister and I spent 1 night in Kilronan Castle last week and because I rely on tripadvisor myself a lot when travelling, I feel I owe it to them to write a review. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit in a very relaxed enviroment. It was a mid week break and hotel was quiet, which suited us perfectly as we were... More

This was average for the price- but considering everything else was fabulous a little disappointing. We ate n the bigger open area and it was a little cold. Having said that the waiter was great- really friendly and willing to help. Explained about the history of the castle to us.

We were staying 2 nights in the hotel and decided to dine in the restaurant on our second evening for the early sitting. The atmosphere was a bit stilted to say the least. While the staff came in and out of the dining room taking orders and delivering dishes, the room was just incredibly quiet. It was hard to keep... More

Stayed in the hotel for one night only but could have stayed for longer. We booked into the restaurant on arrival and have to say the choices on the menu were fantastic hard to choose a dish. It was all fantastic. Staff were extremely polite and service was excellent. Would highly recommend it. Can't wait to return.

This is a very nice restaurant within the Castle. We arrived for the 6.00 sitting of their 5 course meal. First thing I noticed was the room was a little chilly. There was also a humming noise. I asked the waitress would she mind finding out if the air conditioning was blowing cold or hot air. They came back immediately... More

Visited the restaurant with some friends for an evening meal. Food choices was interesting but not extraordinary. Main courses such as steak was very expensive. All side dishes were charged at €4 each extra. Deserts were nothing special. Overall nothing very special and for the quantity of food served definitely overpriced.

Booked in as staying in castle, menu ( for some reason extremely large and cumbersome) was very promising. Ample choice. Both my husband and I choose the beef and gratin potatoes. As I was hungry I asked for a side of chunky chips. The food arrived and the meal was exceptional, beef was possibly the best I have had. The... More
