If you can sit by the window, you'll enjoy this place, regardless of the average, basic menu and the ordinary food. Friendly service but you'll come away remembering the views and forgetting the food.

We stopped here for lunch and found a table near the window, we could not sat on the veranda but it was a bit windy. We both ordered spaghetti carbonara and some bread and butter. The lady didn't speak much English but we managed fine. The food was really good and tasty and came out quite quickly. The atmosphere was... More

Stopped for lunch today and had THE best chicken soup as a starter. Three courses for €9.50 meant great value The only lady on duty spoke little English, but was very patient with my schoolboy Spanish.

Had a three course lunch here for 9,90 Euro. Everything was very tasty and the view over the sea was fantastic.

I had been to this place years ago when it was a fairly upmarket restaurant. The place is now about a quarter of the size and calls itself a Cafeteria. However, they have still retained a small portion of the verandah overlooking the bay but you will have to fight for a seat there. Some reviews have criticised the food... More

We stopped for lunch here and thought it fab. We had the set lunch for €9.50. This included a starter main and dessert or coffee. We had the mixed salad and gave our four year old the soup, this came with bread. I had prawn pilpil and my daughter had the fried anchovies. We both had creme brûlée. We thought... More

We picked this place because of their 9 euro menu and for the view. The view was spectacular. The food was... not great. For instance, the dessert options on the menu included "crema catalana" and "chocolate mousse". Both were prepackaged and brought out still in the plastic cup with foil on top. The rest of the meal (gazpacho, shrimp pil-pil,... More

We make a point of always popping into the Cafeteria Calabella whenever we bring friends to Nerja. Again we managed to get a table right in the front of the balcony, overlooking the beach the the Balcony of Europe. As usual, the staff are friendly, and the food well cooked. Our only complaint is that they do not do Toasted... More

The food is very nice despite the menu being slightly limiting and there is also WiFi and obviously amazing views! Service is good and overall a worth-going-to restaurant.

Fantastic spot, lovely views. We both ordered pasta dishes and they were over sauced and tasted like microwave meals. The meat was appalling.
