Went to this after looking at reviews of fish bars in Wadebridge. Hadn't come across Jon's before, but found it easily enough, and had no trouble parking just in front of the shop. Looked really clean and tidy inside. My fish was cooked to order, and worth a 5 minute wait, although the chips may have suffered from the season... More

We visited here twice on trips to Wadebridge. The food was freshly cooked by a polite, very hard working lady, who did absolutely everything and managed to serve up good food as well.Crisp cod and chips, fishcakes were good as well.Thank you.I would however get this hard working Lady that worked lunch times some help.

Visited today (January 6th), ordered haddock and chips, cod and chips, the haddock was adequately cooked, the batter was on the thick side, the cod had been sat in the hot box, batter was uncooked, thick and greasy, chips were hard and undercooked, has gone down hill in recent months and I will not be returning. On the previous visit... More

This place use to be good but now its gone downhill, I ordered fish chips and curry sauce it was £6.80 the fish must have been anorexic and the chips were a paltry portion, I was shocked, avoid if you want to feel full up after eating !

Visited this shop Saturday with my family all of them starving, what a mistake. All the food over cooked, chips very greasy fish unbelievably small and all batter, didn't fancy the drive to Padstow to the usual chippy which is chip ahoy as the festival was on so thought we'd use this one as its only around the corner from... We visited this takeaway for a quick supper for our family of six this half-term week whilst in Wadebridge visiting family. The food was a complete disappointment, the fish was caked in over-cooked, dark brown brittle batter , burnt almost and inside I have honestly seen more fish in a fish finger. The white fish inside my "cod portion" was... More

On our first day staying in the area, we decided to stop off Jon's fish and chips for our tea. We had a large fish, with cheese and onion fritters and chips. We waited about 10 minutes or so for the food to be cooked and found it to be decent size portions and very tasty. We would definitely go... More
