We have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while, having had great experiences in other Cornish rated establishments. We came to celebrate mine and my husbands birthdays. From start to finish customer service was great and the food was as expected from a Michelin...stared establishment, however, vegetables we lacking and everything seemed just too rehearsed. I know this sounds odd, even we can’t put our finger on the issue! Which is why we have given a 5* rating, however, we feel that we probably wouldn’t return! I know this sounds harsh but it’s how we feel!More

We have eaten in a number of Michelin star restaurants throughout Devon and No 6 is by far the very best meal we have ever experienced!… the attention to detail of all the staff not only with their knowledge and presentation of the food was...simply outstanding. This together with our stay in The Townhouse made a very special birthday totally perfect!More

We recently visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary,I booked the table 6 months ago and discussed my dairy intolerance. The previous evening we ate at sister establishment Rojano’s and were offer a full dairy free menu. Not at No 6 though despite 6 months notice...and a very friendly discussion I was greeted with chef says it is impossible to either remove or reduce dairy or offer an alternative. We recently visited a well known 3 Michelin star restaurant very close to Oxford who managed to provide every course either adapted to dairy free or an alternative they could not have been more helpful and understanding! My wife was able to enjoy every course whereas I had the pleasure of paying on average £20 for not eating some of them.. The front of house staff at no6 were fantastic and made us very welcome with some lovely surprises, the surprise for me from the kitchen was not what I expected and certainly a first at the many Michelin star restaurants I have visited hence only a four rating. I hope the Michelin inspector doesn’t have allergies or intolerances ,you never know it might even be me!More

I have never had a culinary experience quite like it, so well thought of and personal, right down to personalised menus and goody bags to take away! The food was out of this world and the wine delicious! I have a gluten intolerance which often...limits me however, the kitchen went above & beyond to ensure I didn’t miss out on a thing….. who knew a cheese scone could almost reduce you to tears and as for the smoked eel and beetroot tart, absolutely heavenly. Special mention must go to Emily, who looked after us for the evening, she was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. It was well worth the trip from Scotland and a meal I will never forget. Thank you.More

Excellent food presented and served very well within good surroundings - inside a Georgian house. We had an 8 or 9 course meal and each course was delightful. The service was faultless and we were given our own personalised menus (a nice touch). The meal...was expensive but you are paying for an experience as well as the actual food. If you only visit one " high end" restaurant in Padstow, make it this one.More

We had a top meal here. The service was flawless from start to finish including the personalised email after from our waitress. The food was all fantastic and the wines also great. The cookies were a great treat for the following day. Pricey but would...definitely recommend for a special meal in Padstow.More

The best food I’ve ever eaten. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and the flavours were amazing. Far better than the ritz. Staff were all so friendly too. Great evening.

This was our 3 rd visit over the years but felt let down this year. The wow factor is just not there anymore , food was ok nothing was very warm average flavours certainly not Michelin star quality . The drinks are super expensive there...really is no need for such high prices for average drinks. Personally think it’s time for a revamp and they need to watch there pricing on drinks & Food .More
