I visited the cafe today with my dog but had to sit in the courtyard which would be pleasant enough if it was sunny, but was quite cold today. Dogs are not allowed in the cafe, despite it being advertised as dog friendly. I have a BLT toasted sandwich and coffee both of which were delicious and the service was... More

Popped in for lunch and pleased to see the menu had been revamped. It's a nice cost restaurant and is especially pleasant out of season. I ate the squid in semolina batter, served with aioli. Simply fantastic, light and beautifully fresh. My husband tried the Toulouse sausage served in a bed of thinly sliced tomatoes and capers. He said it... More

It has been a few years since our last visit and we had good memories. This time we felt it was not nearly as good in fact we thought the food we had was very average. My calamari starter was tasty but a very mean portion (I suspect the kitchen thought we were ordering off the three course menu deal... More

We visited here with my parents recently and it was fantastic. Matthew was such a great help in assisting us with our food choices. All the staff go out of their way to make the evening enjoyable. Food sensational!

wow, what can I say ? Went to Padstow for a 4 day break for our anniversary. Wanted to go somewhere special for our anniversary meal and chose Steins Cafe (thought the Seafood Restaurant was a bit too pricey) We left it late in booking a table and the telephone reservation service had closed so reserved online and got a... Eating at the cafe was part of our weekend package while staying at The Seafood Restaurant. I had the Squid, Plaice on the bone and Rice Pudding! Simply Perfection😋

Having never been to Padstow my husband and I felt duty bound to visit one of Rick Steins restaurants. We decided on the cafe - looked cosy and friendly We checked out the small menu a few days earlier and were told that it changed every day. It doesn't !!! Never mind the food was good. However, the service was... More

We arrived early for our table 19:10 and settled straight into looking at the menu. When the waitress came to ask for drinks we also asked about various dishes. I ascertained that the hake dish just came with some lettuce. Questioning this I got a few looks from my wife which said please don't start it's our 32nd wedding anniversary... More

Excellent fish and chips and probably the best chips in Cornwall, really are that good the only bugbear was having to pay for the car park but then again I'm a Yorkshire man so extra cost will always be my downfall, but on a more serious note it really is worth the visit if not for padstow it's self
