We enjoyed a lovely meal here on our anniversary however it is expensive and I am not sure it is good value. However the meal was good and service was good.

We booked months in advance for a table at 930pm and were seated at 1015. We were a party of eight celebrating an eighteenth birthday and had already arrived in Padstow an hour early to enjoy the harbour and have a drink. To then arrive...More

This was one special night and a long awaited desire to eat here. The food is expensive but the quality and service is also excellent. It’s a fine dining experience and I’m glad we did it.

Outstanding meal, but service is less than expectations. Mr Stein is a 'celebrity chef' and as such our expectations were high. Food amazing, restaurant ambience 9/10 but let down by staff who are not well trained. Appreciate staff are hard to find in the West...More

We have eaten here before and expectations were high. The restaurant was busy but the service was very good. We had the John Dory and the spicy squid for starters. Both very nice but my fish was a tad cold if I’m honest. My husband...More

Enjoyed the Rick Stein experience, clean and roomy restaurant. I enjoyed coconut deep fried prawns, husband had scallops in garlic - the better option. For mains, husband has a messy crab dish - Singapore crab - he did well in a white shirt. I had...More

Having heard from friends that this restaurant is worth the trip, I was not disappointed. Friendly and helpful service, superb food and yes it's not for those on a tight budget, it is what it is. I for one will happily revisit as it is...More

Not shorts and t shirt. It is a smart place and people make a bit of an effort.

Description
Opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. Head chef, Stephane Delourme and his team create simple seafood dishes with classic flavours using Rick's recipes. We have a seafood bar right in the middle of the restaurant where you can watch chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi. No reservations are required for the bar and you can order anything from the a la carte menu.
