Reading the reviews on this establishment I was expecting great things. The service was very lacklustre with a food offering to match. The drinks were good.

A lovely gastro pub!! The host was very welcoming although we didn't eat there the menu was fantastic if there had been a vacancy we would have definitely stayed overnight. Looking forward to going soon.

The fish (plaice) I had was undercooked and unpalatable, but the fish cakes and chips my wife had were tasty. I wasn't charged for my undercooked fish and the kitchen apologised.

Came here one Saturday lunchtime for food and then returned 2 weeks later on a Sunday lunchtime. Good food, good service, lovely atmosphere. Can't fault at all. We will return again, hopefully to try a meal in the evening.

Thank you for the question JillKirk. As the other kind reviewers have said, we do allow dogs on the patio, both front and back and we do indeed put out water for them. They are also allowed in the bar area of the pub- but... More
