Had lunch here yesterday. Found the staff friendly and helpful. Food good and fresh. I enjoyed the veggie lasange in fact is was so large I left quite a lot. The whitebait was also enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

From the moment we entered the pub we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. The service from the young gentleman waiting on was superb. The choice of food was more than adequate and the presentation very appealing. Home made desserts including home made ice creams finished the meal very nicely. Drinks were a little pricey (£6.50 for a small... More

We came here using a Travelzoo voucher for 3-course lunch for two people. The welcome was extremely warm and friendly. This continued throughout our meal. The menu, whilst not extensive, offers a good choice and has several vegetarian options. The food was of a good standard with reasonable portions. We noticed that, at certain times, there are offers that include... More

After reading some of the reviews on this site, one could only say I am left feeling slightly bemused. A lot of people have shown hate for this establishment, but I can not relate in any shape or form. I visited 'The Malswick' (as I heard some locals calling it) earlier today and was completely dumbfounded by the excellent table... More

Came here as a group of four for Sunday lunch. Pub itself is very nicely done out with good garden area on a sunny day. It has great potential but needs to replace the chef and/ or manager! The Sunday lunch was very disappointing and ruined by the roast potatoes which were inedible and tasted as if they had been... More

I came here for Sunday lunch with my Grandparents and was hopeful that the lunch would be of a good standard. The waiters were very accommodating and quickly brought us our drinks. I ordered ham, egg and chips. Service was quick but my egg was uncooked. I asked the waiter to take the egg back and for this to be... More

I recently visited here as a group of 6 adults with 1 child. After first ordering our food we were told that there was only one pie left, which was strange as lunch was from 12 o'clock and we were there at 1pm. The place was empty, with only one other table of 5 seated in the restaurant. So on... More

A gem of a restaurant, very quiet but so welcoming and food excellent. Fell upon it in passing, so glad we did as the specials dishes were amazing. Reasonably priced, freshly cooked, good beer, nice wine selection - what more could you ask? Enjoyed our meal so much we returned for another meal the next night!

Description
Malswick House looks like an old country inn from the outside, but the surprise is that once you step inside the look and atmosphere feels very informal, contemporary, light and relaxing, not like a traditional pub at all! The menus are unique and offer an excellent selection of home-made food at reasonable prices, which can be enjoyed with a real ale or glass of wine from our wine list or a choice of many other drinks including Italian coffees. In September 2013, The Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust bought the freehold of Malswick House via its commercial arm, The Wharf House. All profits from Malswick House will be donated to the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal restoration. Malswick House has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and is now a fabulous destination pub/restaurant with a lovely courtyard garden with tables in the dappled shade from the grape vines. We also have a disabled ramp at the main doors at the front which has improved access from the large car park, and a wheelchair friendly loo too. We are looking forward to welcoming our customers both old and new. The Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust is a registered charity which has the ultimate aim of completing full restoration of the Canal from Gloucester to Hereford - an ambitious but achievable goal. Eventually the Canal will run along the back of The Travellers Rest creating superb views from the garden.
