Ascough's never disappoints for service and quality food. The menu changes monthly. You can choose from two or three well varied courses. The drinks menu is extensive and priced from reasonable for house wine to much more. The atmosphere is genteel. Thoroughly recommend you try!...More

Four of us went for lunch on a Saturday and the place was busy, always a good sign. The lunch menu was extremely good value and certainly no drop in standards from the evening service. I would certainly recommend!

We have visited this restaurant on a few occasions for lunch and have never been disappointed. Last weekend we joined family members for an evening meal, same excellent standard of service and brilliant choices on the menu. Reasonably priced too and well worth a visit

Fantastic meal. This place is never a disappointment. We had the three course meal. The starters of Scalop and the Smoked mackerel and mains of Veal and Lamb were both absolutely fantastic. Absolutely nothing to fault....enough said.

We booked ages ago just to make sure we could get in, and although not full, it was pretty busy for the Tuesday after the bank holiday. We started with utterly superb asparagus wrapped in prosciutto for me and a tiny baked goats cheese for...More
