Imagine this....2 generous slices of tasty Turkish flatbread covered with a béchamel sauce, home-cooked ham, melted cheese and a lovely soft, runny egg on the side in a tiny pastry case accompanied by a large mug of tea. Then, you know you shouldn't, but the...More

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic comments. You make all the hard work worthwhile. Say hello when you come in next, the tea is on us.

The field kitchen has some of the best food at moderate prices to be found anywhere in south Oxfordshire. Their salads are always delicious and the pick and mix approach to servings works very well

A lovely little cafe tucked away in Nettlebed. We found it by chance and had a delicious lunch. You buy a main such as salmon, sausage roll, or fish pie then add 1 2 or 3 different salads to it. Not cheap but worth every...More

Late lunch so missed the rush. Nice and varied menu, very friendly and accommodating staff. My only disappointment was that small children are not catered for in terms of high chairs or a changing table in the loo. I'm sure that those things would not...More

Amazing warm hearted small lunch location in an old chapel (school house?). They bring plates of delicious spontaneous creations to their counter. Tell the ladies what you fancy. They bring it to the table. Snack sized portions of organic local vegetable, chicken and salads in...More

Ample free parking, a must for serious walkers, and easy to locate on the main road to Henley. Welcoming staff and well prepared coffee in sensibly sized mugs. The display of cakes was compelling and the ample slice of carrot cake was succulently moist and...More

Arrived at two, so probably missed the rush. The two ladies who served us were cheerful and friendly. Didn't have wait long for the food and drinks. An unusual setting in a church like building, so it's a touch noisy and echos a lot but...More

Late lunch visit with a friend. Live very close to Field Kitchen but never been before. Quirky setting in an old post office which looked like it may have been a church once? The deli dished and salads on display at the counter looked gorgeous...More
