Arrived on a Wednesday night - very quiet. Didn't wish to eat with a tv as a backdrop so asked to eat elsewhere - anywhere we were told - chose the stripey conservatory - which was cold but light. Ordered two steak pies - which were okay - came with huge undercooked carrots, broccoli and potatoes - no atmosphere, lukewarm... More

Enjoyed a one night stay, evening meal was very good as was breakfast. Rooms have been upgraded and nicely appointed - no views but step outside and there they are!! I've stayed here a couple of times. Lovely walks all around and beautiful beach. Really nice area to visit.

The service was good, the meal tasty and the beer was good. The other diners seemed equally pleased. The setting is delightful.

good food and local beer. A number of local fish dishes available as well as other food. This hotel brews their own beer best to book if you are eating later in the evening.

Really welcoming staff who went out of their way to make space for the 6 of us. Food was delicious and good value.

As the name goes, The Old Inn, and this looks like an old tired place that time has passed. Downstairs there was wood finish everywhere, however, the room was more modern and very comfortable. The wifi was poor unless you were in the correct place downstairs and there was a very poor phone signal.

As the season had wound down - (our expected lunch time hotel had stopped serving food) we found the Old Inn opposite the harbour area...which on a damp day was set in a lovely location just back from the road - Note car park near the main road is some 100mtrs from hotel front door. Food selection and service were... More

We stayed four nights here in September; the location is perfect and some aspects were good - for example our room had a TV with DVD player, and there was a huge range of really good DVDs on offer. But it seemed to lack a certain something hospitality wise given that this is one of the best locations in Scotland.... More

Very pleasant stop for our evening meal where we had a drink and a bar meal. Well frequented and pleasing atmosphere.

This is by no means a gourmet restaurant. It has a limited menu of the bar food food variety but what it does, it does well and I heartily recommend it. Try to get a place in one of the little restaurant rooms in the evening. Meals in the bar at lunchtime are somewhat overshadowed by a huge tv which... More
