We visited this place a couple of times on holiday in May. First class food and service. Had a coffee break here first time and a cooked breakfast second time. All delicious.

The food here was lovely, especially the mushroom and walnut soup and tasty cheese scones. However, all of that was spoiled as there was no disabled toilet. In fact, no toilet on the ground floor. Considering the type of establishment (tea room, essentially) I’d have...More

This is a great little cafe that serves delicious fresh food. We arrived and there was a large group next to us which meant we were ignored for over 20 minutes (a acknowledgement or mention of the wait time would have helped - my impatience...More

Lovely light lunch of goat's cheese and pepper panini, perfectly cooked. Beautiful mango juice and great coffee, served in a china tea cup because I do not like soup bowl sized thick pottery things such as is the norm in England these days. Friendly people...More

Description
Open Wednesday to Sunday, Jemima's Kitchen at Victoria House offers a variety of food and beverages, including our award-winning full English breakfasts, from 9.30am onwards. Our light lunches, including homemade soups, baguettes, sandwiches and hot meals, are served from midday until 3.30pm. Sweet and savoury scones are baked fresh every morning and a selection of delectable homemade cakes are on offer throughout the day. Our specialist leaf teas are supplied by Bird on the Rock and our coffee beans are supplied by Italian brand, Mokarabia. We also offer soft drinks, wines, cider and Hobsons beer by the bottle or glass. Our food is either made by us using high-quality ingredients which, where practicable, are sourced locally, seasonally and as ethically as possible or purchased from local suppliers who share our ethos.
