We visited Newton Stewart today and sadly this cafe is no longer in business. Try the Riverbank restaurant further up he hill, by Sainsbury's, always a winner.

All the standard fare (like soup, sandwiches, jacked potatos) but well done. I had the curry chicken with rice - good sized portion and delicious! Only open until 5 pm, on weekends until 8pm.

Great service and a hearty breakfast too. Lovely to have a big pot of tea & coffee, lots of toast, all included in the breakfast price. We will definitely return when visiting the area.
