Lots of choice, freshly cooked, good quality food in nice surroundings - amazing pictures throughout. We visit every time we're in the area.

Been here after having lunch, we had great coffee and an amazing Earl Gray. The place is tiny & cozy, the waitresses are very nice and the atmosphere is just very relaxed.

We have been here previously many times when it was under previous management, as the food has always been good quality, and the pricing more than reasonable. Now called "Zest Cafe", the food is still of good quality, and pricing. My only small niggle is the staff we're more concerned with their own conversations than being attentive to customers- a... I am writing a second review of this place because it has changed its name since I was last visiting it, and presumably its management. It is now called Zest Cafe, situated above the outdoor clothing store in town. It is a clean, light, airy place and a bonus is being able to look at the art work on display... More

Recommended to me by a hotel we were staying in! Lovely little place, delightful staff and delicious food! Made my stay in Ullapool a happier one! Would go again!

Visited here for lunch. Have tried on many past visits to Ullapool but always found it queued out. Today it was empty, and silent, which is off-putting for me. We had cooked breakfasts, which were fine, but having specifically asked for no black pudding we were still served it. The childrens meals came separately which wasn't ideal either. Wouldn't hurry... We were recommended dropping in here for a quick breakfast but the guesthouse owner we were staying with. For £5 you can grab a sausage and bacon sandwich with a freshly made coffee - from the new coffee machine. The cafe has a comfortable seating area and nice views into Ullapool. There is an extensive selection of local art for... More

Having just walked out of another cafe/restaurant that was advertising breakfast, even though they weren't... We wandered up to the outdoor shop as we remembered popping in here a while back for a snack... The cafe is upstairs and sits nicely in a gallery of fantastic photographs... and they do fab food. We ordered up two breakfasts, one for the... More

We visited during terrible weather, looking for warmth, food and wi-fi! We found them all - the food was great with a welcoming atmosphere and a beautiful photo gallery as well. Service was a bit hesitant as they are new owners and there is a limited menu, but we went back three times very happily.

Not somewhere I will visit again - slow service to no service! We even had to wait at the bar to pay until the staff had finished a private conversation.

The Gallery Cafe is situated above North West Outdoors on West Argyle Street, Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands. We are open from 9am till 4pm, but during the winter months the kitchen may sometimes close at 3pm to allow us to bake our yummy cakes and scones! We will still be serving teas, coffees, cakes and soup (if there's any left) untill 4pm! Why not come in for a breakfast, soup or just some tea and cake. We offer a range of delicious lunches including oven baked potatoes and tasty panini's! Our cakes are all homemade as is our soup.We are child friendly, there are 2 high chairs and changing facilities, we also have some toys to keep the wee ones occupied whilst the grown-ups enjoy their lunch. We also have a good selection of landscape photographs in our gallery section.
