Our little family of 4 came in here.... Mostly due to the "nespresso" sign outside, which tells us they do good coffee. It wasn't disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, and the food was amazing. It was the Easter bank holiday so we were happy to find a table and fast service too. The coffee... More

As a frequent visitor to Barmouth we as many have our favorite places to eat but on this trip decided to try some other places and very glad we did as the Anchor was a real cosy friendly place with great food. Will be visiting again. Booking is essential as they cook everything fresh so prepare only what's needed.

My husband and I had a fabulous meal at The Boathouse (it has changed name and new owners Kim and Mark). Everything is fresh and made from scratch which is what we were looking for... I had the Zesty Prawn & Avocado Salad, my husband had the Ultimate Welsh Burger. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The setting... More

Called in for coffee and a snack and was made to feel very welcome. The coffee was just how I like it and my chicken , bacon and avocado wrap was delicious, will definitely be back next time I visit Barmouth 10/10

The Anchor is now under new ownership; having been regular customers of the Anchor in the past, my wife and I were pleased to see this picturesque harbour side restaurant rejuvenated - decluttered with an exciting new menu. We enjoyed an early evening dinner with attentive and friendly service with a cosy atmosphere - and will certainly return here again... More

We stumbled across this lovely little place whilst visiting Barmouth on a very cold Sunday afternoon. Being quite late in the day we wern't to sure if it was open but once inside we were greeted with such a warm welcome. Decor is stunning.. With beautiful lights intwined in branches over the ceiling, lovely candles & pictures too. The owner... More

Having been here before we knew what to expect, but we were blown away by the food this time. We had the fish pie , steak , lasagne and burgers. They came out hot and on time , large amounts and good value, and quality . The waitress Hanna was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. I can thoroughly... More

Eat at the restaurant last night and had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. The food was plentiful and cooked well, my pate and the fish pie were superb. The wine was very good value and the service very good despite the restaurant being full for most of the time we were there. Will certainly visit there again when in Barmouth.
