Caramelo is THE place for desserts on the island - I stopped by for afternoon tea and was delighted by the beautiful menus and the huge range of options. I tried the Volcan de Chocolate, which came with a scoop of manjar icecream and was perfectly sweet and oozy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Make sure you leave room to visit Caramelo, their desserts really are fantastic, particularly the lemon meringue pie

It is very expensive for cake and coffee (CPL 35,000 and 30,000) plus 10% service fees. They take cash only. But the red berry cluster cake or pie is good.

We enjoyed excellent coffee, cheesecake and ice cream at this tearoom style coffee spot. Located on the main road at the southern end of town towards the airport it has a bright interior and comfortable seating outside. Washrooms were exceptionally clean. Highly recommend this café.

We went here based upon reviews and we were very disappointed, mostly in the unappetizing beef/chicken/bacon burger. The meat was tough, extremely fatty and the little bit we did eat did not agree with our system afterwards. We both did however enjoy our fresh mango juices.

From reading all the reviews here I expected a lot more. There were 3 cakes to choose from, two of which weren't to my taste (yes I know that's my problem, but3???) but admittedly the one I had was better than average. The coffee was awful

First and foremost, this place is awesome - we ate here 3 days of the 6 we were on island. On the 8th day, God created Caramelo.

We stopped here for milkshakes and dessert. The lemon pie is some of the best I've had. The brownies are also rich and delicious.

The people and food were delightful - just prepare yourself for a two hour lunch as ordering, receiving food, and settling the bill all take quite a bit of time. This is a great place to order salmon salads, veggie sandwiches, even an amazing hamburger (the beef had chunks of chicken mixed in and a molten cheesy center that exceeded... More
