Friends from home mentioned this restaurant, and from the looks of it we weren't expecting much. Everything about our meal was outstanding, from the attentive service to delicious food. My husband tried a "quad" of fried catfish, shrimp, frog legs and oysters. He said it was the best catfish he's had in a long time. I had delicious chicken piccata... More

Absolutely wonderful food! They had a variety of offerings, including pasta, fish, and beef dishes. Vegetarian options are available, but definitely not vegan. I tried the catfish bites and the triple fish platter which includes fried catfish, shrimp, and frog's legs. The catfish bites and the frog's legs were by far the best fried foods I have ever eaten-- simply... More

Highly disappointed to drive 3 hours to eat at a highly recommended place and was turned away at the door. We were told there was an hour wait and the place was closed even though there were empty tables and still 1.5 hours till stated closing time. Ended up calling another place 30 minutes away who were happy to serve... More

You wouldn't expect to find such a gem in the heart of Newton County...such gourmet food, full of flavor! We enjoyed the cheesy biscuits to start our meal. Never had any like them before. Then we ate a delicious Caesar salad and Shrimp Carbonara! It was full of flavor and big portion to split. This place has a variety of... More

While at a dog handler's clinic in Jasper, this was recommended to us. We would not likely have found it on our own. In short, go! How a chef of this quality ended up here is a surprise (but is explained on the menu). Don't make your entree decision until the excellent wait staff briefs you on their specials. We... More

Everyone enjoyed there meals. You can see the kitchen from the dining room and the owner was cooking with an assistant and... More

The most unlikely place in the middle of nowhere to have amazing food. I love places like this. A true diamond in the rough, this place will not disappoint. I hear the chef is New York trained and brings it to this small rustic setting, putting out great food. This place is a must no matter the occasion!

Waitress and cook were friendly, attentive and a pleasure to visit with while the food was fantastic! Surprised by the menu choices and fresh, fast and delicious food! Fettuccine Alfredo was amazing - different than typical fare at other places! Dessert was heavenly! If we had discovered it sooner we would have eaten there every day of our visit!

We had a huge crew staying nearby at the Buffalo Outdoor Center and needed a night out without cooking for ourselves. This place had been recommended by several locals and did not disappoint. The Chicken Francesa (sp?) was fantastic, the soup of the day was great, and the kids devoured their kid meals. Also, BYOB, so score some of the... More

What happens when a NY trained chef opens an eatery in an old general store in Low Gap, Arkansas? Something magical! That's what. The food is outstanding, the weekend live entertainment is very good, and the ambiance is.. unique (in a good way). The décor is not fancy, you can watch the kitchen activity from your table (and the exact... More
