The most yummy tamales, but if you want to take home a dozen, you might need to call ahead. Also, for full pies, you must call a day ahead. The best is either chocolate and pecan or sweet potato pecan. Can’t go wrong with this place!

Make sure to bring enough cash, since it is a cash only place. Tried the mini half and half pie (sweet potato / pecan); it was really good. Plate lunch was good as well.

We always stop at Rhoda’s on our way to the Gulf Coast coming from central Arkansas! Tamales are to die for! My husband loves the mini sweet potato pie too!

Easy to find just off 65. Tamales were very good and the little personal pecan pies were delicious. The place is small for dine in but the lake is just a few blocks down the road so get it to go and enjoy the view.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere! Mrs. Rhoda greets all the guests with a warm and friendly "Anytime that door is open, then y'all just come on in! " We loved the tamales and pecan and sweet potato pies!

Looks like a hole in the wall, but you won’t find better tamales and OMG the pies. All cash to be prepared. Great food and lovely people.

Got tamales and mini pies today. Pies were excellent. Eating tamales tomorrow but they’re good too. Will definitely get full size pies next time and try burgers or plate lunch.

The place may not look great from the outside but the food is great. We stopped to get tamales but got a cheeseburger as well. The cheeseburger was fabulous!

I went to Rhoda's right at the end of lunch service and had the grilled pork chop with rice and gravy, mac & cheese, lima beans & cornbread, and pecan pie. It was all delicious and really enjoyed visiting with Ms. Rhoda and her family.

We didn't know what to expect when we read about Rhoda's Famous Hot Tamales, but we thrive on little known gems. This was one! Rhoda was seated in the dining room and loved to talk and her daughter served the food. My wife said that Rhoda looked "huggable". We got the tamales and pies to go and they were great. Will visit again.

We stopped in to get some tamales and mini pies to go. While the tamales were really good, I’ve had better, sorry but I have. The pie was really really good! We got several mini pies of pecan, pumpkin and 1/2 Pumpkin/pecan. If driving thru again I will probably stop and get more.

The place is know for tamales, but the burgers are dynamite! It is an old structure that is way short on appeal, but the food is the real deal! Do not, do not leave without some pie! Cash only no cards!

This huge tamale fan finally made it to Rhoda’s, and I’ll definitely be back. The tamales had a little more cumin than I prefer, but were excellent in flavor and texture! And Rhoda and her family are a hoot to talk with. Tamales to go are packed in a #10 can wrapped with foil and newspaper to keep them warm.

After reading the reviews I had to give this a try. There is not a lot of choices in Lake Village but this would be a good choice anywhere.
The tamales - I had 3 of them. They are small but very good. I wouldn't describe them as authentic Mexican but we're very tasty.
My bacon cheeseburger - this was excellent. There was a lot of bacon on it cooked well and served piping hot.
The pecan pie - I was a little skeptical as I got one of the small personal pies and it looked like it might be store bought, definitely not. It was the perfect finish with a not too sweet filling and the taste of lightly roasted pecans.
Rhoda was sitting in her chair and engaged me in conversation while my food was being prepared. She seems to like meeting new people and I left in a great mood.
This was not a fancy place and seems to have no air-conditioning. I would guess Guy Fiery would call it a dive, but was a clean dive.
My total bill for all the food, less than. $10. I will be back for more burgers and another story from Rhoda.
I also saw people leaving with box lunches that were huge that looked very good.
