Met my friend for lunch. Lovely decor inside, and clean. Our table was an old door converted into a table, and we had a canopy overhead.. very cosy. We ordered food at the till and both drinks and food arrived quickly. We had cheese pie, and although it was quite tasty, it was very dry inside and cheese was crumbly.... More

Nice lunch food from the specials menu. Roast lamb was tasty with a good sauce. Could have a few more vegetables in special cabbage.

We had finished an hours walk around local entwistle reservoir and headed to the chetham arms for food. We quickly found a table for two adults and our two year old and was told there's a half hour wait. I orderered our food at the counter and settled in taking in the lovely atmosphere listening to the load guy on... More

We visited here for just drink on a busy Christmas Bank Holiday. Staff were friendly and were quick to be served. We were a big group with dogs and kids so we sat in the garden area. Plenty of space to sit and a little play area for the kids. Ideal.

I brought a pre-booked party of 14 over for lunch on Wed 28th Dec. Needed to be out within an hour. Table was set out for us, pleasant welcome for all as my party arrived in stages. Pub is clean & has a nice ambience ... food was served quickly by efficient, friendly staff

My husband and I are going to eat at the Chetham tonight to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. He has reserved the table and spot where he proposed over 27 years ago. It has changed a little but essential the same- good affordable home cooked food and friendly service. The current owners are doing a great job! We have been... More

We called for lunch off chance, the pub was lit up for the season and felt warm & welcoming. The basic menu caters for most diners with a small extra specials board. Our meals where nicely presented by friendly staff. Basically a nice village Pub catering for its local clientele.

My sat nav suggested the Chetham arms as it was local to where we were after a family day out, I had been that way many times but it is easily missed due to its location but its a little jem and worth a visit. Food was delicious, all good home cooked food. The decor was nice and felt very... More
