Super fresh fish fried nice and crispy! Friendly service and a real down home feel! The shrimp is very good as well as a good ole cheese burger and fries!

Been there a handful of times thru the years and must say it's VERY good. HUGE variety of food, VERY serviceminded crew an' give you details of food without that you have to ask. Food is very tasteful, and can recommend without a doubt. They have 19 different fish caught in the nearby river

We went to Fred's for the catfish. Food was very good, as were all the sides included with the meal.

Don't expect much for ambience at Fred's--it has the basic ambiance of a small-town diner. But for my visit, the food was excellent, service was fast and friendly, and prices were outrageously low. The $12 dinner comes with five catfish filets, three piping hot hush puppies, right-from-the-frier french fries, coleslaw, and pickled green tomatoes. If you're looking for a genuine... More

The sign on the door said, "The best fish and hush puppies in Arkansas." I was skeptical because my mom said it wasn't that great but my dad insisted it was a great place to go. I loved it. Great fish and they have a Walleye option if you don't want catfish (Which I didn't) and they know how to... More

Stopped for a bite and wanted a local fare. Wish we would have driven a bit further. Service not friendly. Food not worth the price. French fries not good, hush puppies cold and hard. Fish OK. Really was hoping it would be a place to remember.

I loved the food. The catfish melted in your mouth. The hush puppies were excellent. Service was quick and friendly. My tea glass never ran dry.

This restaurant has the same name as another one in Mtn. Home, Arkansas, about 45 minutes away. However, there is no comparison. This restaurant just doesn't measure up with the atmosphere, customer service, or quality of food. Don't get me wrong, if you haven't been to the other restaurant by the same name, it will be at least an average... More

Pretty good and always US raised catfish....that is saying something today because I find that even some of the best catfish restaurants have gone to the foreign fish (which I am told is not really catfish). Sometimes they are real busy and turn out hush puppies a little under done but this is not the rule.
