This is a local favorite. If you love bugers, beer, onion rings, etc, then you will love this place! I recommend the Barn Burner with onion rings.

When I first moved to town, I heard so much about how good Back Forty was. Family came to town and we finally decided to try it out.... it was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and service okay. Food was just nothing special.

Great place for a good burger and fries! Reasonable prices. Have been in business for many years! Locals frequently bring out of town guests

Good burger but to expensive for burger fries and drink. At $15 to much for so little. I'm use to paying $7-10 for that type of meal.

Dropped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food is ok, but that was ok for this stop.

Quintessential beer joint and I mean that in the finest tradition. Best hamburger in the land and the chili-cheese dog isn't far behind. Also an old full sized theater popcorn machine. The kind of popcorn you remember. You will like this place!

While this place is a little dated both outside and inside, it has great pub food. I like a place with a bit of character. This tavern has the feel of a 1960 bar and I believe that was wen the fixtures date from. Ignore this, or love it. The place is clean and the people are friendly. There is... More

A friend suggested the Barnbuster burger, so I gave it a try. It was very good: almost half a pound of ground beef cooked exactly how you want it. To be honest, the fries weren't spectacular: just warmed-over prefabricated pototo things passed off as fries. There was one server for the whole restaurant and she was running around like a... We stopped here for dinner during a stay over in Mountain Home. Picked it because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Definitely a good old locals restaurant, the owner was there cooking the burgers, the staff was super friendly and very fun to talk to and the food was fantastic. The prices were Beyond reasonable if... More
