The owner is so rude I'm surprised everytime I see people in the restaurant. We are semi local and twice have witnessed the owner openly display aggression towards passers by. The pizza next door at Lena's is awesome...incredible value and freaking delicious!

Amazing, thin, hand tossed dough and super fresh toppings make a great pizza. The welcoming staff made me feel like an old friend. Good people, great pizza.

I have been staying in Puerto Viejo for a while. There are places in town that have better toppings on their pizza than Mama Mia, but in terms of quality, Mama Mia is way ahead of the rest. I had Hawaiin pizza which is a bit of a standard, but it was cooked spectacularly in front of us, the pizza... More

Absolutely love Alex and his pizza! If you're in PV this is a must to stop! Alex is authentic Italian, beautiful, entertaining and extremely skilled at making amazing pizza. We have been disappointed only 4 times at Mamma Mia and that was because we drove down from Turrialba and he was not open. Literally drove down for his pizza because... More

We were getting a little sick of rice and beans with x or y, so we tried out Mamma Mia for pizza. Can't go wrong with a four slice pepperoni pizza to share between two for 4000 Colon (about AUD$8). We came back a few nights in a row! Base is thin and crispy and toppings are simple but good.... More
