Average seems a harsh score sometimes, but if it isn't bad and doesn't stand out, I guess average is what it is. Good place to watch the world go by. Some good service, some not so. Food was what you would expect from this style of venue in these parts. Not fantastic...not bad...wouldn't object to dining there again.

The food is excellent. The staff are friendly and the Gasthof is really well located. The room was clean and well maintained. We would return.

Nice food. A good Austrian menu. Nice for sitting outside, especially in the ski season, because you can leave the kids to sledge down the slope opposite, whilst you partake of the gluwine! A firm favourite of ours, what it lacks in sophistication it makes up for in location and menu.

Called here for a light lunch. A pint and a large bowl of goulash soup with a roll. The soup was excellent. Recommended.

We are Seefeld regulars and we hadn't eaten at the Batzenhausl for a while so we thought we would visit again. There was a lovely bustling atmosphere which the "live" music added to without ever becoming obtrusive. The food was even better than we remembered: one of us had Pork Cordon Bleu and the other Wiener Schnitzel and both were... More

Truly, the best goulash soup we have ever tasted. So good in fact, we went three times during the week. The Apfel Strudle is pretty amazing as well.

Gutbürgerliche Kuche, not wrong for lunch if you go for Frittaten- oder Kartoffelsuppe, Kaiserschmarrn, Wurstsalat or Speckteller. And then back on the skewers burning all these Austrian calories.

We had lunch at the Batzenhausl, and despite having a similar menu to the other Kaltschmid hotels in the village (particularly Alt Seefeld), we felt the food quality was poor. The restaurant looks tired, and in need of some renovation. It's location is great, and the outside seats on a sunny day can't be beaten, but sadly this isn't true... More

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst staying in Seefeld. At the end of a pedestrian road near a Hotel called The Garage. (Before the roundabout). Visited the restaurant 3 times. A not too fancy and fussy place, offering different areas to dine in, cosy family/small group areas or a less formal area to eat not far from the bar. In addition... More
