Following other reviews we sought our host's opinion who echoed that El Barometro is a smashing place to eat, and we were not disappointed. The quirky 70's feel to the place had us entertained all evening. However it was the quality of the fresh fish as our main dish which really impressed us. Lubina, or sea bass, was presented to... Just finished the most delicious lunch here. Highly recommend the fabada con almejas, merluza a la plancha and the flan de queso. Next time I'm around here I will definitely return. It was the most tasty meal.

Exactly the sort of place we went to Luarca for. Apparently highly popular with local residents, and with good reason, this is a really good fish restaurant. Charming host, excellent service - and lovely food. A highlight of our Northern Spanish tour.

Chose this place for lunch while on a bus tour stop, based on Trip Advisor rating. Arrived a little before they opened and had time constaints to get back on bus. Took us anyway and served the 3 of of us with the 3 course daily special, which was 12 euros each. Huge Asturian stew, with beans, potatoes, escarole, sausage... More

A small and cosy restaurant decorated with fishing items. The menu features fish and shellfish prominently (no surprise). The teenagers (being teenagers) avoided anything sea-like, and went with pork and beef. Well liked--though one complaint that the red pepper was not ketchup! Tortilla was not potato based, but more like omelette but tasty nonetheless. Squid in its ink was to... More

Superb seafood and very reasonable prices. Would recommend. Worth waiting for a table. Local wine good but expect a bottle not a glass.

After having stayed in Luarca back in 1989 I went back with my wife in November 2014, and decided to have lunch at the port. I parked the car, and checked Barometro, that was right by the car, and the owner said it was full, we had to wait for 1 hour, so we made a reservation anyway. This was... More

We went to the restaurant early and were fortunate to get a table, so you better reserve. Everything was great, especially the sopa de marisco. Should I ever return to the area, I will definately go back.
