We didn't have a reservation here, but decided to try it anyway - we were turned away as they apparently had no capacity, so this review does not reflect the food. Although it looked perfectly presented and the tables outside looked attractive, the restaurant lacked any sort of atmosphere and was uncomfortably quiet, not what I would expect at 8.30pm... More

Small menu of fantastically tasty food cooked to a very high standard. Well priced for a 3 course meal at 26 euros. Lovely setting by the pool tucked away in a side street. Such a shame it's not busier.

We went to Cal Bisbe intending to try the tasting menu. Menus displayed outside show this and an a la carte menu. In fact when we were seated we were shown a third option - a reasonably-priced daily menu. This had really tempting dishes, so we opted for that. The restaurant would do well to show this outside too, as... More

My wife and I dined here and chose the tasting menu. I thought it was alright but nothing special and a bit overpriced at 42 euros (I think) a head. I wouldn't bother to return.

We went to the Sunday night BBQ. There was more food than you could eat and a reasonable variety but very little BBQ atmosphere. The food was mainly prepared in the kitchen, finished of on a domestic style, gas barbeque and laid out on a serving table. It was entirely self service. Fine and relatively inexpensive if you want to... More

Like others who have rated this restaraunt, it has definitely taken a dip in form. It was an enjoyable evening but the meals were either over fussy or just slightly wrong with combinations. We had the tasting menu which needs just a tweak or two. Squid- came with something that reminded us of piece of uncooked sausage meat which added... More

Tasting menu only at this restaurant. Lots of courses, and really too much food, none of which quite hit the mark. Also, everything came on a different type of server - no actual plates, which struck as a bit of an affectation, particularly the 2 types of duck which came together, one in a cardboard lunch box, the other in... We were very happy with the meal we had here one year ago. This time, however, we were very disappointed with the tasting menu. The basic problem was one of texture, there was too much liquidity in too many of the courses. They also tended to be the same colour - pink. Part of the problem seemed to be that... More

I've dined at C'al Bisbe on a few occasions, being fortunate enough to have friends who live in the town. Never have I experienced anything other than calm, mature professionalism, with a standard that would (and should) make many a fine restaurant owner in the UK weep at the prospect. In my opinion - Ca'l Bisbe delivers food, presentation, and... More

Sa Tafona restaurant is part of the Hotel Ca´l Bisbe. As the residence of Bishop Nadal at the beginning of the 19th Century, Ca’l Bisbe is now restoring its historical heritage to offer the quality, comfort and personalised style that is so important today. The restaurant has magnificent views of the mountainous countryside of Artà village. In the evening, meals are offered in the charming dining room, or during spring and summer on the beautiful terrace surrounded by the greenery of the Ca’l Bisbe gardens. Although the restaurant specialises in Mallorcan cooking, it also offers grilled meats and vegetables prepared with fresh local produce. There is an extensive wine list of Spanish and particularly Mallorcan wines.
