As the only vegan in my group it’s always hard to find places where I can enjoy great food and share the experience with all my friends. Cas carreter is one of these places! We were all impressed by not only the quality and flavors of the dishes but also by the amazing service we received during our visit. I had the best vegan paella I’ve ever had and my friends enjoyed the shrimp paella and fish dishes (can’t remember the name of the fish bec I’m vegan and I was not even looking at their plate obviously!). Their wine selection was also quite impressive and their recommendation was a hit! I can’t recommend this place enough. If you are a fish/paella fan or a foodie in general you can’t miss this place and if you are a vegan foodie like me, Cas Carreter is a MUST when visiting Mallorca.

We booked ahead for a friday night and were glad we did as was full by 8.30 - half locals and half tourists. Fabulous food and wine. Beautiful decor in an old wheel making shop with tools etc on the wall. Cannot recommend highly enough. The seafood paella served at the table was so good and the starters too. Never made dessert as this was enough. Worth the 5 minute walk away from the main square - though may not be open every evening - check before dropping in without reservation.

We were attracted by this restaurant's ranking as no. 1 in Soller. The restaurant was nice and the service was fine, but we do not think that the quality of the food justified the ranking. We had a sirloin steak that was slightly overcooked (definitely more than we ordered) and the potatoes were just a standard product. We have also had better lamb shoulder than we got at this restaurant. The almond cake that we had for dessert was good, but all in all it did not deserve a top ranking.

I was deeply upset by the public, offensive manner of a female waiting-on member of staff. We’d asked for a table but we had no reservation. So instead looked at the menu and booked for the following evening. We were told we could sit outside and we joined a German lady and chatted 10 mins. Beckoned a friendly waiter to order drinks and as two men on another table ordered food we asked for a menu thinking we could eat outside just a small tapas we thought. The first waitress stormed out to us and said, “I told you the kitchen is closed!” Our German friend was leaving as her sister had arrived to collect her and the waitress said, “ You’ve made this lady leave- you don’t have to go!” I replied that this was not the case and we’d had a lovely conversation. The German lady protested her accusations but she wouldn’t listen. She then said” Right! I’ll see if the kitchen want to make you food!” I replied, “ We thought we could eat outside as the men on another table have just ordered but Thankyou but we’ll leave now and cancel our reservation for tomorrow.” She then turned away and muttered something about us to the men on the other table and they sniggered. We left embarrassed and devastated. The first afternoon of our holiday, restaurant recommended by David our host. My husband is disabled and this would have been a lovely restaurant not far from our hotel.

Awesome!! Bread and Alioli to start, complementary tomato juice to follow then onto the mains! John Dory for me cooked to perfection. It was that fresh it winked at me! Lovely crispy homemade fried potatoes with crunchy veg served with a beautiful prawn sauce. One of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. My other half had chicken with caramelised onions, veg and homemade chips which actually were potato lattices but homemade and tasty nonetheless. Finished off sharing a homemade almond cake and ice cream, was down with a bottle of Verdejo. Very reasonable prices too.
We sat inside the restaurant, cool in temperature and rustic in decor. Positioned 5 mins walk from the main square. Staff were super friendly and welcoming and arranged for a taxi to take us back to our hotel in the port, which duly arrived within 5 minutes. Great experience.

So good we went twice!
The first time was slightly spoilt by a large crowd of over entitled brits abroad! Makes you feel embarrassed to be English! However the staff handled the situation very well and based on this we went again.
The lobster paella is amazing and the chocolate pudding was also fabulous, there was also another large party of Mallorcans in who did not feel the need to shout and swear and the atmosphere was lovely.
Would definitely recommend..

Food is excellent with lots to choose from traditional tapas and Spanish fare to pastas and pizzas. The only negative was that the road outside is fairly busy so eating outdoors doesn’t have quite the same ambience as the central square in Soller but the food more than makes up for this and it’s also much better priced. Great place to have dinner.

Our FAVORITE restaurant during our stay on Majorque.
The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and GENEROUS. And the staff took great care of us.
Very professional and kind but so much more. It was my boyfriend s birthday, and they made so many sweets gestures to make us feel special... that the diner is absolutely unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious salad and beef carparcio. We stopped here for a light bite after leaving the market in Soller and the food was amazing. They add a savory ice cream to both the rocket (arugula) salad and the carparcio that is savory and made with delicious olive oil. This together with the fresh ingredients makes it taste like some of the best food you would get at an expensive fine dining restaurant. We want to go back for dinner now.

A nice, well run restaurant in the heart of Soller - food was good. Would recommend the black pasta. The mussels as a starter came in a delicious sauce - so delicious that we asked for some bread - it had to be baked so took a bit of time to arrive but it was fresh!

Good central location in Soller, Mallorca. Lovely ambience inside but outside tables are on a very noisy street. The meat Paella for two for 36 Euros is plentiful and delicious. Good Sangrias as well

Highly recommend this restaurant, a bit outside the centre so not as crowded as the restaurants at the square. Fare prices. Really good paella, unfortunatly we did not try the tapas for two but saw that it was very popular among the other guests.

In Cas Carretera we found exactly what we were looking for, a typical Spanish cuisine and an excellent service. We ate Paella casera and apple strudel. The service is awesome, very kindly and recommended us some places to visit in the town. A great experience!

Nice Place and ambiente that fits the charme of the old town. Got this recommended by a friend and she was absolutely right recommending this. The food is amazing, didn't find a better place the whole week! The plating and the combination of components on the Foie miciut is outstanding. The Gamabs al ajillo are just great, had them in three different restaurants over the week, every time i wished they are as good as here but they weren't even close.(the others were still good)
Will definitley come again when I'm in SĂłller, thank you.

Came for lunch, was lovely and air conditioned with was fab on a hot day with a baby!
Staff were attentive.
Food was faultless, we both had pasta which we wouldn’t usually do in Spain however both dishes were fresh tasting and really tasty.
