We enjoyed our meals here over our two day stay. Having said that all things were not equal. I do not like what they do with cooked vegetables and my steak was not great; however, my complaints stop there. The presentation is effective and the quality is very good and occasionally outstanding. Their Grilled Cheese sandwich is exceptional. I have... More

My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. The drive to the restaurant through Algonquin Park this time of year was beautiful with the leaves at their peak fall colours. We both had the same meal, butternut squash soup followed by the prime rib main course. The soup had really good flavour, but could have been hotter. The prime... More

Staying at this Lodge offers you an opportunity to enjoy a full meal package in a lovely, quaint, old dinging room. [Look for the original A. Y. Jackson painting as you enter the room; Jackson, a member of Canada's famous Group of 7 Painters]. Service is excellent and servers all appear to have decent senses of humour. Food is abundant,... The food in this restaurant was second to none. Beautifully presented, excellent choices and expertly cooked. The staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We went out walking one of the lunchtimes so we had packed lunches - all beautifully packaged in a carry box and plenty of delicious food.

We had lunch here, we weren't guests staying here but just happened to notice it on our way through the park. They have a fixed lunch menu for a fixed price. Not cheap but good service in a very nice lodge. And the food was great as well.

As always this was a great lunch in a beautiful setting. Guacamole to start. Then yummy crab cakes and salad. Strawberry shortcake for dessert was terrific!

Our first visit here was 45 years ago and it still has the same feeling of being close to nature. The Cabins are comfortable and the food is excellent. The staff friendly and efficient.

The lodge is nestled in the middle of the park with easy access to multiple hiking trails, bike paths and park amenities. What sets the lodge apart is the warm and friendly staff who have worked there for many years. Eric (owner) clearly takes great pride in his lodge and makes all guests feel welcome in this intimate setting. The... More

Took wife for lunch. A three hour drive. Paid $28 each with 15% gratuity added automatically. Beef Barley soup for appetizer had 1 cube of beef and very little barley. Spaghetti & meatballs entree was lukewarm. Salad small but not bad. One small roll each. Banana cream tart was very good. Maple Walnut Ice Cream was salty. Restaurant is special... More
