1st street cafe is a great place to eat. It is so popular you have to get there early for a table or call ahead. You can sit at the bar, food is good and service is great.

We visit yearly to celebrate our anniversary and where we met. First Street Cafe never disappoints! Great food and excellent service, low-key environment. Great selection of desserts (that we usually try to avoid, but can't always resist!).

This little hidden gem is always full of life and people and great food. If you're in the area or just passing through, this cafe has a hometown feel and make you glad you stopped. Great traditional breakfast food and lunch foods as well. Stop by and see what you think.

I like going in and having breakfast at the counter. Mostly i have had the corned beef hash. Today i just had coffee a scone and hard boiled eggs but i like the counter in this setting. The scones are very good , i would have had biscuits but they only serve them on weekends

I had a breakfast . Was not crazy for the potatoes. And only one piece of toast. Only one bathroom and it needs a lot of work!!

If you want to visit a quaint small town on the Sacramento River near San Francisco, head to Benicia, California. A former early capital of California, it has a wonderful main street with some antique stores and nice restaurants. The view of the Sacramento River, which at this point is like a bay, is beautiful. Spend a leisurely morning walking... More

Dining solo and the bread came without butter or olive oil. The French Onion soup was different yet good. The Angel hair pasta had good flavor.

Hi Michael, Thank you for writing about our cafe. I'll be sure to remind the servers & bussers about having olive oil and balsamic vinegar at the counter. I'm guessing that is where you are sitting as we place olive oil & balsamic vinegar on all the tables. Glad to hear you enjoyed the soup & pasta. We hope to... More

We stopped for lunch and ate at the outside tables. Their soup was outstanding! Service was friendly and excellent. Great place to sit and visit, watch the world go by, and take in Benicia's small town flavor.

We had dinner which was wonderful but I hear this is a knock out breakfast place. I had their signature sandwich (artichoke and fresh crab) which was deeeelicious! My daughter had ahi which she loved as well. Very friendly servers! I would definitely go back.
