Cafeteria style, which is not a problem. Had chili relleno, which is my favorite. Batter dipped, swimming in salsa verde, only ok on the chilimeter. Cafe Olla not so good, grainy and lacking spunk. All in all, not great.

Flavors only average. Chicken taco fried, oil could have been better, it tasted a little old. Carne Asada, just ok.

Atmosphere: Order at counter, grab your number and find a table. Not a very comfortable setting with hard wooden seats or benches; seats can be hard to find if crowded. Food: When it's good, it's very good, which is too rare. It's over priced for what you get. The fish tacos have been poorly fried lately - limp and fishy... More

$4.00 for a single taco a la carte, charging extra for tasteless salsa in addition to the charge for guacamole,...Three of us spent $45.00 on lunch, and left hungry! Sorry, even high end Mexican in Southern California has its boundaries. The food was mediocre, they ran out of clean silverware,....I am certain those who don't know any better find it... More

Sit inside in the cold, but enjoy the sun outside when it's warm (and watch the Amtrak go by every 15 minutes). Love, love, love the tuna cerviche. Lots of delicious chunks of fresh avocado, tuna, nice medium hot sauce, served with their amazing freshly baked tortilla chips. The guac, salsas, and ensalada are excellent. Lots of seasonal specials. Wish... More

Being Mexican food and not fine dining my first reaction is to compare with XoCo in Chicago and that is unfair. Food is good, nowhere as good, quick takeout and take a flag & we serve you on table service, not too bad. They served two separate orders in one plate, which is inexcusable. With a bit more attention to... More

A fun casual inviting environment with delicious food! We would definitely eat here again, it's a great place to try something a little different.

I love this place! Everytime I come to the Bay Area I make sure to stop by here. Every dish I've had is so good. Can't wait to go back!

We stumbled here before Ubering it to the Berkeley Freight and Salvage for a concert. The restaurant is tucked away among a small group of businesses and restaurants. Order at the counter, and the competent, friendly staff will bring your items to you. The mexican food was authentic, well flavored and proper portioned (meaning - you revise generous amounts for... Stopped by for breakfast. Casual atmosphere. You order from an overhead menu and they deliver to your table. Coffee is expensive even though it is drip($4). Most breakfast items are at least $10. The chips and guacamole was quite good. The Chorizo with huevos was pretty good but average in presentation. Flavor was average. I did not get the impression... More
