This is not your average Sushi Restaurant. You do not want to simply order rolls and Nigiri. Order off the chef's menu and experience excellent dishes like New Style Sashimi or Bluefin Tartare with Caviar. The Kobe or Wagyu Tataki is out f this world....More

Matsuhisa, the original Nobu, is the no frills version but equally excellent. The dining area decor is similar to what you would expect in any suburban sushi joint (minus the cheesy explicitly Japanese decor) but the food is anything but. All the favorite dishes you...More

A week after having the 8 course degustation at Nobu in Melbourne I had high hopes given that Matsuhisa is the "birthplace". I was disappointed. This place is tired, crowded and the $150 set course we had was less interesting and overpriced.

We tried Omakasa and it was wonderful! The environment is like a usual traditional Japanese restaurant but the food! The scallops have a hint of South American spicy flavour! Comparing with other Japanese restaurants in town, this is absolutely the best!

My family and I recently visited this restaurant and if you love japanese food, this is the place to go eat when you're in Los Angeles. This is the first restaurant of mr. Nobu himself. Enough said!

The food here fusion with great taste. I love their spicy tuna sushi. Though their signature dishes of Cod fish was a bit sweet for me, but it was loved by my grandchildren. Sour and spicy shrimp was strongly recommended. Good atmosphere. Need reservation.

We loved everything we ordered. The atmosphere was relaxed, compared to NOBU, but the service was wonderful.
