The Burger Barn was once located on Main Street in downtown Bishop. Not sure if these are the same owners. Was delicious then as it is now. The presentation of the food is strikingly familiar. Always a favorite place for me when I had an extra dollar. There was a department store next door. Great place to go to eat... More

"Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger." Stopped by on our way to play in the mountains and really enjoyed our burgers. Everything is handmade and locally sourced. Their house buns (potato bread) are great, too. A little hard to find, but worth the trip. Limited seating, but they have a few indoor seats upstairs if the weather is not cooperating.

LOVE the food here BUT every time we come, the service seems to get worse. Not very friendly (yes they are busy but you can still be nice), they charge for extra condiments- 50 cents for a side of ranch or bbq sauce? When we paid for the extra sides and then didn't get them, we asked and they treated... More

Mamamarz, This is news to me, as we often get glowing reviews of our service, in spite of our busy pace. I will bring this to the attention of all staff. I do ask our staff to confirm if a guest has paid for ANY missing items on a ticket, even a 25cent sides of homemade Ranch/BBQ. This is so... More

Traveling with our dog, we wanted a location with patio dining. The location we had chosen had no tables available. Remembering this place from earlier in the day (and they were packed and mid-afternoon), we decided to give it a try, in spite of it's less than ideal appearance. What a pleasant surprise! An eclectic "dump" the food was amazing... More

We found this little place through YELP as we were loosing hope that I could find soy-free food in this small town and having to walk out of 2 different places because they cooked with soy-bean oil. Although they do FRY in soy-bean oil, the staff was very helpful and helped us to make sure my burger was soy-free and... More

I was en route to Death Valley and called a friend for a recommendation, it was this place. Disappointed I was not. I had a simple cheeseburger and fry, it was one of the best I've had :)

We have stopped here a couple of times and the food is fresh and delicious. Great onion rings. Tried a shake this time- yum! The place is very very busy and very limited parking - we had to park across the street at night and it is dark. Could be dangerous due to little light and fast cars. My only... More

This is my go to burger place in town. If you are a returning visitor, best way to order is to call ahead...give them 15-20 minutes and then go in. yum!
