The food is delicious but because it is relatively small and very popular, it is hard to get in. You might be waiting a while for a table.

The service was poor - a very stern person waiting on us, communicating in short monosylabic sounds. She just didn't seem to want to be there. The food was mediocre. This place is popular, but I don't know why ... a couple doors down is another Burmese restaurant that is much better. I returned for a third visit, giving every... More

I have been Mingalaba often in the last 6 years. The food is always very good. The owner/manager is always attentive if she is around. The service is good most of the time.

I went with a group of four friends to Mingalaba Restaurant. Our party of five ordered a Paratha (crispy pancake), two orders of Samusas, two orders of La Pat Dok (Tea Leaf Salad), Garlic Noodles, Burmese Style Vegetable Curry Delux and coconut rice. We also have one glass of sparkling wine each. The entire meal with tax and tip was... More

This is owned by the sister of the owner of San Francisco's Mandalay Restaurant, & offers a similar menu of Burmese food. Very vegetarian & vegan friendly. Our favorites are the samusa soup, roti with dip, tea leaf salad, walnut broccoli tofu, their house specialty noodle & of course, Burmese iced tea. Great service. Parking is paid on the street.... I'm not the adventurous type when it comes to food. Mexican is my absolute favorite and I love Japanese, but that's usually about as exotic as I get. So when friends mentioned meeting at Mingalaba for a get-together lunch, I was not not familiar with the name, so I quickly Googled the restaurant. The cuisine was Burma/Chinese? Uhhh. I didn't... This is our go-to Burmese place. We like the low-key, family-friendly atmosphere. Service is attentive and the food is very tasty.

This is the spot for good Burmese food in Burlingame. Have to try this place for your asian food rotation in the Burlingame area. Long time favorite and in great active downtown location. It is a small place, usually busy or crowded and on tough street to park so plan a bit ahead to either wait or go at good... More

We have only had takeouts but well worth it. Very tasty and not greasy. Lots of variety on the menu but no prices so before you know it, the bill is high.

If you have had Burmese food, if you haven't but want to, or if you want to extend your Asian food repertoire, try this place. It is homey and has nice service and some delicious dishes. Suitable for couples, families, or solo diners.
