We travelled to niseko with our 10month old baby and booked in advance for a dinner seating. I had my baby asleep in a front carrier throughout dinner and Midori-san was kind to seat us in a little quiet enclave which helped the baby sleep through dinner - and allowed us to enjoy the fabulous dinner that ensued. Lovely sashimi,... More

Waited for 2hrs before being given a seat and served the sumptuous hot soba with duck meat.. ordered the vegetable tempura too and cost about 2.5k yen. Very tasty and unique. Take note that kids below certain age is not allowed entry and they only have 20 seatings which mean go early and queue!

We were very fortunate at having been advised of this restaurant from NOMA in Copenhagen. We we lucky enough to arrange 2 seats at the counter last minute. Usually it is a 12 month booking advance in this small and humble Soba Heaven. Although English is not spoken here, it is not a problem, Tatsuru San and Midori San were... More

One of the best soba in Niseko. If you are in Niseko must visit this place n enjoy the soba as it's freshly made. It's local near Annupuri ski resort.

I always looking forward to have dinner at Rakuichi. Not only for food but to meet Tatsuru San and Midori San, they are so kind to us. Watching Tatsuru San preparing soba is like art performance for me

It was a pleasure to experience again some of the uniqueness that existed in the Niseko ski resort some 11 years ago. Pre the advent of the big developments that gave taken place. Friends had recommended Rakuichi Soba to us and provided the necessary lunchtime advise- limited to 30 covers- there are no bookings, it opens at 11.30 am, get... More

Just had dinner Sobatei Rakuichi. Staying at Grand Hirafu Village, but it was well worth making the trip to Annupuri for the exquisite omakase. The soba is world famous, but what surprised us was the other courses were great too! Comforting spread of Japanese cuisine. Soba Master Rai-san was friendly and obliging, and his wife Midori-san was an excellent host.

I wished our hotel told us that children below 12 were not allowed for lunch. We were a party of 6, and after being dropped off at the entrance, the owner came out and politely told us that our 8 year old would not be allowed to dine. Didn't get to try any food 🙁

For dinner one has to book a year in advance but lunch you just turn up before 11:30 for one of 30 covers that are available. Well worth going, the duck is superb.

Managed to get a dinner omakase. I think it's six course. All are good. Last dish is the highlight, noodle. It turn out to be pretty normal to me. Nevertheless, nice dinner!
