What a great spot. Decided to hand out for Happy Hour and stayed for dinner. Excellent Salad and Salmon. Highly recommend and prices are reasonable. Excellent Service, Food, and Wine - Will be back.

Above average restaurant with high quality food. Ribs, tacos, margaritas, wine, mouse and creme brulee. Not cheap but with every penny.
We had already decided where we were eating on our one evening out in Capitola and it wasn't going to be the Paradise Beach Grill but in the late afternoon we popped in for a couple of drinks on the terrace and it was great...for service, location, the view and atmosphere. We did feel a little guilty leaving to go to another restaurant nearby as the staff were very friendly and even said "hope to see you again" in a genuine way. We walked into the empty other restaurant, only to be told get lost as we hadn't booked. Off back to the Paradise beach Grill and a warm welcome was followed with a great table on the terrace, great food, great service and a fantastic night.More
A bit expensive for a family of 5 and somewhat limited menu but we certainly enjoyed our food and the ocean view! Nice waitress but the service was a bit slow and one of the staff spilled water on my lap...twice.
We had a lovely experience here. I was concerned about choosing this place for dinner as the area always looks so busy and I was concerned about parking and just getting to the restaurant, not to mention they don't take reservations. But, we timed it...right and found a parking spot nearby, they were able to sit us right away without a wait, and we got a beautiful table in a protected area where we could enjoy a lovely view! Our server was friendly and helpful. I started with a lemon drop that was delicious and followed that with a nice crisp green salad and linguine with clams. Most enjoyable! Key lime pie for dessert that was equally yummy. We were looking for a place with very good food without having to get dressed up. This was a perfect spot. I highly recommend it.More
We sat outside on the deck, overlooking the water, for lunch. It was a great view and very pleasant. The burger I had was very good, and my friend had the apple walnut salad and she raved about it. Service was very good.
Stopped in Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had a great view of the beach and ocean from their patio. Fish taco's and coconut shrimp were excellent. Good service. Neat town and great restaurant - hope to return again.
My girlfriend and I, had a very enjoyable experience at this restaurant. Good location, great food, and drinks.
First all the view from our table was spectacular. Our waite staff, Courtney, was very friendly and attentive. The calamari was excellent, and the margaritas was good. I had the fish and chips, which I enjoyed. Can't beat the view, combined with good food and...drink. Will definitely visit there again.More
We were tired with a long day of exploring the Central California coast and needed a quiet respite from all of the noisy distractions on the street. We were treated to a table next to the fireplace and a terrific view of the bay. The...food was great and the portions were generous. We'd definitely return to this gem.More
The menu on line is outdated and severely underpriced. The items we wanted to order based on their on line menu no longer exist. The pasta we had instead was average and the appetizer was barely warm. The third item was the clam chowder which...was good. I was disappointed to find they charge almost a 4% covid surcharge fee. Overall a disappointing dinner.More
On a recent weekday evening, it wasn't easy getting a table anywhere in the small downtown Capitola area. Three of us ended here, and it was super. We all enjoyed our delicious, fresh entrees. Very family friendly. Outdoor seating right on the ocean available. Good...service.More
The atmosphere was nice. The waitress was very nice. The food not so nice. The dessert was freezer burnt and the salmon and fish in the fish tacos were way over cooked. Very dry. The food quality did not match the amount of money we...paid to eat here.More
Great restaurant in charming Capitola. The restaurant has a great view of Capitola and the bay. We stopped in for dinner and enjoyed the outdoor table and warming lamps/torches. The family enjoyed coconut shrimp, fish tacos, fish n’ chips and chicken wings. All so good....Service was wonderful. Will definitely stop by the next time we visit Capitola!More
The atmosphere, excellent service, and overall quality of the food earned this eatery a solid 4-star review. Here are some details of the dishes and the experience: We arrived without reservations on a Thursday night in late April 2021, in the midst of the Covid-19...pandemic. We were quickly seated outdoors with a spectacular view of the ocean, the historic Venician condominiums, and the river inlet with a wooden train trestle bridge. The view was beautiful, but we quickly asked to be moved indoors, as the icy winds blowing through the patio proved too strong for the propane-powered heaters nearby. The server for our party of four (2 adults, 2 teens) moved our party to an indoor table within minutes. Service throughout the meal was efficient and friendly. When we asked a tricky question about ingredients in the clam chowder, our server promised to ask the kitchen staff about it and came back with the information we needed to know for the one Pescatarian in our party. Bravo! The bowl of clam chowder was beautifully executed, featuring a nicely briny broth with just the right amount of cream and viscosity, tender, melt-in-the-mouth chunks of fresh clams, and tender pieces of potato. To the delight of our Pescatarian party member, NO bacon or pork products whatsoever were used for this chowder. This chowder was the highlight of the meal. My wife and I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was served hot and crispy with the right amount of breading. However, the fish was somewhat dry. Yes, I know that frying fish is a technical challenge. I liked the crispy exterior and the seasoning, but in this single instance, the fish was overcooked. Unfortunately, the accompanying chips arrived slightly cold. I do not doubt that the server would have replaced them with a fresh order if I had complained about it, but my wife asked me to let it go. My only other disappointment was that no coleslaw or other vegetable was served alongside to break up the richness of the fried components. The menu did not suggest the dish would include a coleslaw, so it is not exactly fair for me to feel a bit let down that it wasn't on my plate. One member of our party ordered the grilled fish tacos. In my opinion, that dish was brilliantly conceived and perfectly executed, featuring slices of juicy mahi-mahi that had been grilled on the outside with a delicious charred flavor and served with tasty pineapple salsa and lime aioli. The cold bean salad accompaniment was so flat-out delicious that my daughter, who normally avoids any food with beans, polished it off. I highly recommend it. Another party member ordered the Prawn Linguini, which was properly prepared with tender, juicy prawns in a light tomato sauce with al dente pasta. With such praise for the food and service, why am I docking this excellent restaurant one star? It was a difficult decision, but for a classic dish such as fish and chips, I expect the fish not to be overcooked and the fries to be delivered hot and fresh. Sadly, this dish did not meet my expectations, thus the 4-star review for this otherwise excellent restaurant. I would not hesitate to return here in the future or to recommend it to others.More
