This was our first time at Miyako. When we first walked it took quite awhile for the receptionist gal to acknowledge us since she was on the phone. This same one turned out to be our waitress. Total space cadet. We ordered 4 miso soups, she brought 1 and then told us we didn't ask for the others, but she... More

Went for lunch. They had a small buffet for about $10.00, Tasted okay but the presentation was like a small school cafeteria. Their a la carte menu was a little pricey for what you get. Overall, would not go there again as there are much better sushi option in town. I am not sure if dinner would be better ,

I ordered the sukiyaki. It is supposed to be very thin meat with slight fat and extremely easy to chew. Instead the meat was hard, thick and smelt really bad as if it is rotten already. This meal was uncomfortable. I will not go there again. I have to say the service is good. The waitress is very helpful. But... More

This buffet luncheon is the best in the county. I love their wings, sushi, tempura and sukiyaki. I highly recommend coming here during the weekday special for less than $12-, you can get all you can eat!

My husband and I eat here at least once a week and have been going for years. The sashimi is always fresh and there is a good variety of rolls to choose from. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the owners are super sweet.

Consistently fresh, yummy sushi. Friendly attentive staff. Agree with the comment about the TVs. Ambiance would be nicer without them.

We had dinner here the other night. It had a bit of a strange vibe. Finding Nemo was on one TV on repeat. Another TV was showing sumo wrestling. A third was a fish tank video. The hostess kind of hovered a bit. But the sushi was very good. We had a few rolls of various quality. Da Bomb was... More

The family wanted to eat some sushi after our long day at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. After reading some reviews, this seemed like a family friendly restaurant. It turned out it was a great choice for us. The waitstaff was very friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered Agedashi tofu, Udon for the kids, and 6 sushi... More
