Just strolling in the Crossroads and looking for a bistro that was there before and it is gone. Tried Island Tacos and was pleasantly surprised. My lady friend and I both had the grilled mahi mahi burrito. Very good and the service was good as well. Slightly higher priced than a regular taqueria but worth it.

Two soft white corn tortillas stuffed with crispy veggies and topped with a slab of crunchy fried fish. Fluffy seasoned rice and beans, black or pinto. All for $8 and change. In Carmel area, it does not get any better in price, and certainly I haven't found any other taco places at all. Plenty of parking. Casual fun atmosphere. Salsa... More

Nice little place. Clean, fast and good food. The staff was very friendly and efficient even though they got our order wrong but they fixed very quickly.

I stopped in here for the chicken taquitos while my husband got a hot dog near by. It was clean, service was nice and fast at the counter and all the food was good and fresh. they offered 4 house salsas to choose from if you wanted to add them to your meal for no additional charge. The guac was... More

It was just a quick lunch stop as we were traveling through town. The place is nothing fancy in a fairly large shopping plaza, but the food was surprisingly good. Had a burrito the size of my head with really good pork, and my wife's choice of fish tacos turned out to be among the best she had ever had.... More

We did take out and the food was just average. The cashier and cooks in the kitchen were very friendly but it doesn't make up for the food....unfortunately.

My wife and I decided to try this place based on an article she read. We were there on a saturday for lunch and there was almost nobody there. We ordered basic things, a fish taco, side salad for my wife and i had the enchilada plate. We also both ordered an iced tea. The fish portion was well seasoned... More

Ordered Taquitos and husband two tacos, large Guacamole and chips, one drink, close to 40.00. Chicken tacos had little flavor, as too with the chicken taquitos . My taqitos were delivered with a cheese on them, I'm lactose I tolerate, didn't se cheese in the description, either, when I explained to server I didn't want the cheese on it, he... More

I went to this place thinking that I was going to eat authentic mexican food. I asked the server for recommendations and she recommended the mahi mahi tacos and burritos. It was alright but not the authentic flavor that I was looking for. The hottest sauce was delicious and the service was great!
