On our recent trip to Palm Springs we visited Oceans, enjoyed an excellent meal for lunch and returned 3 times for dinner because the fish an seafood is the best in the desert! It's a casual atmosphere but the service is top notch. Everything we tried tasted great including the mussels, calamari, lobster cocktail, grilled meagre, blackened barramundi, and my... More

You won't stumble across Ocean's but it's well worth seeking out. It's in a strip mall along 111 across the highway from Starbuck's on the west end of Cathedral City. Smallish without being crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating. And an extensive list of fabulous seafood with several specials each night. We had salads, swordfish and sand dabs (tender white fish... More

This place is very inconspicuous. It sits in a small retail area without any fanfare and nothing else around to draw people to it. However, the food was excellent. We had escargot for an appetizer....never had it before but it was delicious. Only problem was that my wife's was very sandy - which they say can happen sometimes with escargot.... More

Tucked away in a less than attractive strip mall. Hidden by a generous amount of flora and fauna, a gem of a restaurant. A minimal menu featuring seafood, beef and pasta. Chose a seafood entre, and it was delicious. Would recommend to anyone. . . .

People were right when they said had it not been for trip advisor we never would have noticed this restaurant! It's very small but the food was excellent. Certainly not inexpensive but worth the $$. My husband had the blackened Australian barramundi. I had the Chilean bass. Came with excellent steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. We also both had the... More

We never would have found Oceans by accident, and if we had seen it, likely would have just driven on by. It is very unassuming from the outside. But we were referred there by a couple we met in another restaurant, and wow, are we glad! Oceans is pretty small, tucked away in a strip mall behind a McDonalds. Inside,... More

The Coachella Valley boasts a plethora of Italian restaurants, some great, others only so-so. Oceans has carved a niche for itself in a classy corner of a Cathedral City strip mall across from Trader Joe's. Fish is the specialty here, evinced by the aquarium in the center of the cozy dining room and the nautical motifs on the walls. Portions... More

Oceans is a small restaurant so be wise and get a reservation. They use Opentable. In addition to their regular menu -- which has an interesting variety of seafood dishes and salads -- they have a fresh fish "Board". On this chalkboard they list all of the day's fresh fish and specials. So if you like seafood, you are in... More

Service was not the best, but at least we were not rushed. Food was ok but not the best I ever had. We sat in the back room and saw a roach walk across the floor. The waiter killed it but seeing it ruined the rest of the meal.

We were a large group and the waiter managed very well including organizing all the different bills. I ordered the prawns. They came with some vegetables and mashed potatoes. There were three large prawns. The problem was that they were overlooked and ended up quite rubbery. It seemed like a better choice would have been fish as others at the... More
