If you are hankering for an old-fashioned hamburger, this is the place to go. Ambience includes decrepit booths (hold on when someone sits in the adjacent booth), and a waitress who is efficient and friendly, though a bit slow. The burgers are worth the wait, and are a good value along with the drinks.

This place is a MUST for everyone who claim to be burgerlovers! Had read mixed review about the awesome burgers and about the verbal abuse and insults from the chef and owner when people for example wanted ketchup on the burger. Came in to try the burger as we where leaving Palm Desert for Arizona. Had the standard double cheese... More

George's is an old school burger joint putting out the best darn burgers anywhere! George's son Ed runs the place and he is a character in the best sense of the word. If you put ketchup on the burgers that he has seasoned to a fine art form.....you will be banned. And for good reason...I love ketchup, but these burgers... More

Like Seinfeld's "Soup N*zi" -- the proprietor has a culinary conceit. Basically it's that catsup (if needed) is for French fries, not burgers. If you NEED to put catsup on your burger, you just don't need to eat here. Just eat THIS burger the way this chef prepares it, and all will be well. He makes a good point --... More

We came for lunch having heard that these were great burgers served with a bit of "shtick" centered around not being able to ask for ketchup on your burger. What we got was an over priced burger, overcooked and dry, served in a dirty dingy bar. Don't bother.

The burger: completely average. Not bad, but certainly not spectacular. The abuse and rudeness: I watched George verbally assault a guy in front of his FAMILY (with kids) for using ketchup on George's precious hamburger. I really can't put into words how rude and abusive George was to this unsuspecting customer. If it wasn't so rude and outrageous it would... More

Been to George's a few times and they really do have the best burgers in town! Though the place is small and sometimes hard to find a seat, if u plan it right (go before noon or after 2) you should be ok. Just whatever you do...NO KETCHUP on your burger or you will get kicked out!!! Last, be prepared... More
