We always stop and eat here on our way from California to Arizona. It is in the middle of nowhere - the food is good diner food. This time we just stopped for dessert - cherry pie and ice cream, but we've had lunches there...More

Traveling through the area and thought we would stop for lunch. They were very busy, and the servers were moving fast and had a hard time keeping up with all the customers. We waited an awfully long time for our food. Tables are very close...More

Having stopped dozens of times at Chiriaco Summit to fill what was empty and empty what was full, on this trip I decided to stop at the coffee shop and see what was up. I think I was also tired of the below average facilities...More

We had been driving for close to 12 hours and we were desperate for something to eat. Unfortunately this was our only choice. The diner is very peculiar. Very old fashioned and out of date. The serving staff didn't seem like they wanted to be...More

Long a favorite until this week. We had Lousy Service...to say the least. After 40 min they admitted to losing our order. That, along with significantly higher prices, is more than disappointing! We won't be back!

Didn't eat anything here but did stop for coffee on the way to Sedona. Coffee was decent and the place was clean, including the bathroom. If it was a little later in the morning, we probably would have had breakfast here. It was much better...More

This is not a great place but considering where it is located it is much more than adequate, it is miles from the nearest anyplace. Great coffee, iced coffee, ice cream, and notice the word ice. Ice when it is 118 in the shade, yes!...More

Are you talking about the residence where they have Catholic services? or Perhaps the Patton Museum?

I believe they would allow primitive overnight parking but to the best of my knowledge there are no hook-ups anywhere. I know there are areas where trucks park overnight.

In 1933, Joe Chiriaco opened a gas station and general store on the newly-constructed U.S. Route 60 highway. Since then, the area now known as Chiriaco Summit has grown to include an airport, a museum dedicated to General Patton, and the Chiriaco Summit Restaurant. This family-friendly diner offers a welcome rest stop for travelers journeying through the desert with friendly service and some of the best food in California. In addition to great coffee and atmosphere, the Chiriaco Summit Restaurant also offers a variety of breakfast items on their consistently-updated menu. The burgers at this casual dining restaurant are especially delicious, earning them a reputation far and wide as the best place for locals and visitors to stop and grab a meal. For variety, they offer daily specials of home-cooked dishes made from the freshest ingredients, and have a refreshing selection of ice cream and frozen drinks to help diners fight off the summer heat.
