What a great place to stop when travelling I-10. This exit has mainly a gas station and this cafe, which is a perfect diner to grab a bite and a break. Not only is the food good and the employees friendly, but it also has...More

When my wife and I travel between Anaheim and Phoenix, we ALWAYS plan on leaving Anaheim arriving at the Cafe around mid morning. Our brunch has always been outstanding with large portions cooked with care so our food arrives less than 12 minutes after ordering....More

We travel across the desert several times a year. If our dog is with us, Chiriaco Summit is a better stopping place than most fast food restaurants in Blythe or Indio. There is a nice, shady patio outside the cafe where our dog can spend...More

The salad was more flavorful than I expected! There was spicy dried mango on the salad which surprised me pleasantly. Give it a try. The store attached to the cafe had quite a bit of local food items so I bought the Mayhaw Jelly to...More

We stopped in for lunch en route home from a long road trip. We had seen Chiriaco Summit featured in a Visiting with Huell Howser episode on PBS and thought it would be fun to check the place out. The menu was pretty standard, and...More

Very simple coffe shop type place, but food seemed good enough. The gift shop is kinda cool. The menu at the restaurant was wanting for more, as was the servings, but it is what it is, out in the desert, where there is nothing else....all...More

The cool thing about the Chiriaco Summit Cafe is that it's in the middle of nowhere. 50 miles west of Blythe, 50 miles east of Palm Springs. The Chiriaco family have carved out their own little oasis in the middle of the desert and their...More

Traveling from California to Phoenix, stopped for a meal because we missed our turnoff for food in Indio, and couldn't wait another 90 miles to eat in Blythe. Very average meals. We had the patty melt, hamburger, and club sandwich. The patty melt was only...More

Stopped by the Coffee Shop off I-10. Decided to have breakfast. Chicken fried steak and eggs (wife had a corn dog and date palm shake). Food was excellent; prices were reasonable and service more than satisfactory. If your traveling between Phoenix and LA, I recommend...More

Are you talking about the residence where they have Catholic services? or Perhaps the Patton Museum?

I believe they would allow primitive overnight parking but to the best of my knowledge there are no hook-ups anywhere. I know there are areas where trucks park overnight.

In 1933, Joe Chiriaco opened a gas station and general store on the newly-constructed U.S. Route 60 highway. Since then, the area now known as Chiriaco Summit has grown to include an airport, a museum dedicated to General Patton, and the Chiriaco Summit Restaurant. This family-friendly diner offers a welcome rest stop for travelers journeying through the desert with friendly service and some of the best food in California. In addition to great coffee and atmosphere, the Chiriaco Summit Restaurant also offers a variety of breakfast items on their consistently-updated menu. The burgers at this casual dining restaurant are especially delicious, earning them a reputation far and wide as the best place for locals and visitors to stop and grab a meal. For variety, they offer daily specials of home-cooked dishes made from the freshest ingredients, and have a refreshing selection of ice cream and frozen drinks to help diners fight off the summer heat.
