My husband had the Patty Melt and claimed it was excellent. I had a pasta dish and it was fine. The service was upbeat. Old style diner. Glad we gave it a go.

I had the cheeseburger it was really tasty. Two others had the sirloin steak sandwich. The other person had the fish and chips. All the food was cooked... More

I love breakfast! I had the basic eggs, toast and hashbrowns. Others in our group had French toast, sausage and biscuits, The coffee was hot and our waitress was kind and experienced. The atmosphere was rugged, like you would expect an old mining town salon to be!! No complaints.

The fish and chips here is really good; so is the chocolate cake. I feel like whenever I go to the CC for dinner I always am more than satisfied with the meal. The bar is also a nice scene at night.

If you're hungry and you're driving along 49 from Placerville, there are many restaurants to choose from anyway, so a stop here is nice. It's like a 50's diner inside, with a nice patio if it's not too hot and buggy to sit outside. The seats have finally been refinished, and it's bright and sunny inside. Food is average -... More

The fish and chips were good, the beer cold and the T-bone steak was just mediocre. Probably not the best place to order a T-bone, but our dinner companion decided that was what was needed at the time. Nothing out of the ordinary, but not bad.

The rugged looking café makes for a good stop during a day in the Sierra foothills. Just a short drive from the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.
