We had dinner there based on the good reviews and we are very glad we tried it. It is true, we wanted to lick our plates based on the fantastic sauces, especially from the veal choices. My chicken Parmesan was very good, the ice cream and especially my Espresso was like in Italy (Lavazza). Highly recommended place.

My husband and I ate here January 31st - the fog had just rolled in so thick and fast the locals couldn't believe it. We were just walking around Coronado trying to decide where to go for dinner when we found Vigilicci's - the place is a gem - not hidden, but a real treat. My husband had the Chicken... More

This is the 2nd year in a row that my wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Vigilucci's. I was really looking forward to the lasagna since it's quite frankly, one of the best I have ever had. Then, I noticed they had Cioppino on the menu and was torn as to which entree to choose. Problem solved, my wife... More

Although this is an Italian restaurant, I like there chicken dishes, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I prefer a seat in the room facing Orange Ave., because it is so beautiful. We like their comfy booths.

Good, but not great, Italian food. We had veal Milanese, veal saltimbocco and baked oysters - two of which were specialties. Oysters were drenched in spinach that overwhelmed all the other tastes. Veal itself was good in both recipes we tried, but we have had same dishes prepared better. Service was satisfactory but not as good as I would expect... More

First evening meal in San Diego and I would highly recommend it. We were sat in the bar area facing the piano player. I would say it was the best seat in the house since it was just two of us and we had the booth looking out toward the bar and piano. I ordered fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken... More

We dined here before going to the theater and didn't know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! The service was excellent and the food was, well, AMAZING. You MUST try the Calamari and Shrimp appetizer - to die for! The portions are generous, the atmosphere was relaxing and well appointed. We ate late afternoon and we had no trouble... More

We have eaten here several times when we were staying on Coronado. Service is good even when the restaurant is busy. I would recommend reservations unless you are eating early, as it gets quite busy around the main dinner hour. The veal picatto is great! Prices are fairly expensive but in line with other similar nice restaurants.

Excellent Italian (Milano) food served with a flair. Waitstaff is outstanding! Attentive, pleasant but not overbearing or smug. Inclusive wine list and lots of food slections to choose from. You get a feeling if intimacy because there are many small dining rooms instead of one large one. Parkingg below the restaurant is convenient and is not provided by the restaurant.... More

Enjoyed dinner at the bar. Great local musician playing hits from the 60s n 70s. Menu pretty pricey but had a special for restaurant week that included appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30. Yummy calamari! Minestrone was fair. I loved my salmon dish. Hubs enjoyed tasty chicken parm. Very nice mini canolis. Great atmosphere. Recommend getting reservations if don't want... More

Vigilucci's is located on Orange Avenue next to the famous Hotel del Coronado. Dine with us in our "Oceano" room while viewing the magnificent Pacific Ocean or enjoy our "Murano" room overlooking Orange Avenue (named for the Murano glass chandeliers that decorate the room) while feasting on our authentic Italian ingredient laden entrees. In addition Vigilucci's has a full bar and happy hour is offered Monday through Friday from three to seven pm and Saturday & Sunday from eleven am to five pm. Masculine wood lines the custom made granite bar and lounge, where nightly tunes of the "Rat Pack" can be heard live on our baby grand piano. The "Oceano" room is open for dining or may be booked for parties up to 90 people. When dining in Coronado visit Vigilucci's Ristorante for an authentic Italian experience. -Buon Appetito!
