Been coming here for 40 years! Love all of the standards and margaritas! Chips, salsa, and especially the jalapeño white sauce!

This restaurant is located within Old Town. Started with ships, salsa and some amazingly delicious quest dip. Our lunch was delicious as were the raspberry mojitos! Service was quick, attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend!
Visiting a friend in Vista & he took us to Miguel’s. It’s his favorite restaurant in the area and I understand why. Excellent cheese enchiladas & although I didn’t have a margarita, my friend said it was wonderful.
There was the good, and the bad. The first bad: some of the appetizers listed on the website the very day we had lunch at $10.50 were $15-$18. This is very not good. The prices were way too high for everything, but I suppose they...have way high rents. Taco Tuesday values are good though. $4.50 each for large tacos. The service was good, and the place is a lot of fun. The shrimp and chorizo queso fundido was “absolutely fantastic.” The beef empanadas were absolutely horrible. They were flat and had very little filling—and that filling consisted of mush, and corn. They should say on the menu that there is corn in this dish. I am allergic to corn and could not eat the empanadas. The quality of the meat in the hamburger was very good. The carnitas taco was too salty. If you want carnitas, I would head to Manolos in Imperial Beach. The rice and beans were adequate. At least they give you free chips with salsa and cheese sauce.More
Sometimes it’s just a bad night. I hope that’s what this was. My date ordered the fish tacos and they came out stone cold. The server got a new order and it was at temperature but the entire meal seems to lack flavor. Is was...ok but that’s it. I had a pork dish which should be bursting other flavor and it was cafeteria taste at best. That was not worth anywhere near rhe $51 it cost. The queso was excellent as were the chips. These weeew the only things we enjoyed. Hard to think we will be going back.More
Fairly average on a patio with no view. Wanted to like it. Do not recommend ordering wine since it had obviously been open for a minimum of 3 days. Fish tacos definitely have cilantro in them although i had asked (in salsa Fresca). My husband...loves cilantro but still thought very average . Could have happily skipped this meal.More
Delicious food that is reasonably priced. Lovely outdoor patio setting. We ate there twice. They have a great Happy Hour.
I stopped at this place based off the ratings. I was not impressed and I am a foodie. The chips were too hard. They put too much oil in the fajita skillet. The food was covered in it and it lacked flavor. I have been...to a lot of cantinas and this one is not it. Don’t waste your time.More
This place came highly recommended by locals, but I was disappointed with the food. The courtyard ambiance was perfect for outdoor dining. The chicken fajitas were dry and didn't come with sour cream. That's an extra charge. The mango chamoy margarita was the only good...thing about my meal.More
This restaurant was picked for a rehearsal dinner…with out of towners invited…. The Cesar salad was a bit different., funny with a Mexican twist..funny because I think the original was first made in Mexico!!!! The three choices all sounded good…pre fixe party menu…I had the...Shrimp Enchilada that was offered.. my husband had the pork asada…. Both were excellent!!! The other offering was a trio of tacos and I heard that they were also very good…like I said, hard to make a choice!!! For dessert they served churros with vanilla ice cream and CARAMEL sauce…..sooooo delicious!!! Service was very good.. I forgot to mention the creamy Jalapeño White Sauce for dipping…Yummy!!!More
Everything was tasty, but not cheap. Got voucher for free starters, for up to 6 - but restaurant refused to cover 2 starters, only 1 - otherwise good experience turned into a ripoff feeling.
This places is tucked in a small courtyear with trees and the traditional mexican bunting - it felt like mexico in a shaded area out of the sun - food was good - our waiter told us you can order the tacos individually wihtout the...rich and beans - they ranged from $7.50 to $8.00 per taco - it was a great way to have lunch - our favorite was the taco of the month - the meat was fabulous, ice cold drinks - and our waiter was lovely and fabulous and enhanced our lunch experienceMore
Absolutely no complaints about the food or service, both were pretty good….but (and it’s a big but), we were seated in a backroom with about 5 small tables. It was really dingy and not an enjoyable place to eat at all. Having walked through the...main restaurant to get there (including the main indoor saloon and a really pretty outdoor terrace), it was such a disappointment to be stuck in a completely different environment. Aside from the grotty decor, the tables were tiny and not suitable for a family of 4. Honestly, that room was so bad that they really ought to offer a discounted menu for people who eat there, as it completely deprives you of the experience that diners in the main restaurant get. Big tip: check where you’re going to be seated before you eat there!More
As we were just sitting down, we were greeted by a basket of corn chips, sublime quest, and terrific salsa. The nachos were absolutely outstanding- we chose beef, and it was truly chunks of fantastically tender steak. Guacamole was chunky with velvety avocado, and accompanying...chips were super-crispy thin flour tortilla. Prices were extraordinarily reasonable, and service friendly and attentive. Superb!More
Great food, cold beer, large portion sizes. We ate here twice during our stay, and split meals both times. We did not leave hungry!
