This is a local favorite. My husband loves this place more than I do. They do not serve refried beans. This is California Baja Surf Food. They have a unique menu. The beans are either white spicy or black. The fish tacos are great!!! The onion rings are great. They serve brown rice!! It's not traditional Mexican food.

Wahoo's is always one of my first stops when I'm in Southern California. This visit didn't disappoint! The citrus slaw tacos are healthy & yummy...they'll even do a lettuce wrap instead of a tortilla. Everything I've ever had here has always been good. One of my favorite things is the funky, surfer style atmosphere. Fun to read all the stickers... More

This place is overrated. Went to Cheka it out. Nothing great. I've had their food at a company party and the food was awful. Wouldn't go back.

We shared Baja Lada and two fish tacos, and topped it all off with two draft Sam Adams. Baja Lada was new to us, and just fantastic: tortillas with chicken, spinach, cream cheese and salsa topped with green sauce. We loved it! The fish tacos are small, but we were glad we got them, as they were delicious and certainly... More

They have a large variety of fish/shrimp tacos, bowls and salads. It is very good and inexpensive. You can get a fish taco, beans and rice for a little over $5. It is very popular with locals and parking can be tight, especially at lunch time.

Simple, laid back and great food at great price! It was recommended to us by a steward on our flight to California and lived up to everything they said. We sat on the closed porch and totally enjoyed the California weather as we ate.

Wahoo's has great food. You order your food and they have it to your table almost immediately. The service is great. You cannot beat the monthly beer specials.

Whenever I go to Southern California, I expect amazing Mexican food. I actually found this place on another website and seen incredible reviews, so I figured I'd try it. The inside looks like a surf-shack, and it's kind of neat how they decorated it, but it definitely didn't "wow" me. I look at the description of the tacos, and it... More

I have never eaten something here I didn't like. I love their tortilla soup, white rice, tacos, maui bowl, onion rings (I actually crave these a lot), and black beans. It's soooo good. The prices are so aforable too. I usually get #1 (1 taco and made 2 out of it). I wasn't a fan of their new brown rice.

This place has been one of my favourites for years, great food, freshly prepared, the beans are delicious. Well, so is everything on the menu. It's a great place for lunch and there is also a location in Huntington Beach. Don't forget to try the ono beer
