What a fun place for the first Sunday of the month for a Sunday brunch! Bottomless mimosas, and the best scrambled eggs ever. They also will make omelettes per request and a fun array of country style breakfast menu items. Excellent chorizo. Very popular with...the locals.More

No social distancing, no masks and absolutely packed. No thank you. The food may be homemade and delicious, but getting Covid with your meal isn’t appealing at all.

It has been a couple of years since we have been here, but the food is better than ever. The Loading Chute is a favorite of the locals looking for a good steak. The service is outstanding and food is delicious. If you are in...the area of Paso Robles it is definitely worth taking the short drive over to Creston to check this place out. Classic cowboy hangout. Everything is so good it is hard to make decisions on what to order. We gave up and had the Mixed Grill (Sirloin Steak, Chicken and Prawns) perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor.More

The Loading Chute has an excellent line up of hamburgers and depending on the day and time, fresh made pizza and prime rib are other great options to consider. Besides beer and wine, they have some of the best ice tea around. You do not...need to go hungry in Creston.More

The Loading Chute was the only game in town for years and they took advantage of that to provide mediocre food at high prices. Don’t bother ordering a steak, it’ll be tasteless. The only thing I’ve found to order are their pizzas that are pricey....It’s nice outside dining but ambience inside is no better than a Denny’s. I only go when forced into it by a group get together. So many better places to eat. Don’t know how they stay in business.More

We made the drive from Atascadero across the beautiful cattle and horse country to the town of Creston. The purpose of the drive was to find what is billed by many as the best steak north of Jocko’s in Nipomo. The result was a superb...14oz rib eye, done just my way. It was served with vegetables and a loaded potato. With a glass of your favorite wine, it is a great place to enjoy the classic American steak dinner. The service and attention was terrific. An evening at the Loading Chute will be a good time for all.More

Many come for the old town atmosphere but stay for the food. Although we were there during a midweek lunch, the food was outstanding. One of the first times that I noticed how fresh tasting the various ingredients were on a hamburger. The onion, green...chile, meat and bun all tasted super fresh and tasty. Can't wait to come back for dinner soon.More
