We stayed at a vacation rental very close to Longbranch Saloon and wanted a quick bite to eat for our party of 10. The outside area was perfect as there were a lot of long picnic tables and a lawn area a play area for...the 6 kids in our group. A great local spot for some good bbq, drinks, and outdoor areaMore

Food was good and ample. Service slow. Lack some organization. Great outside seating on a pleasant day. First look at the building makes one think the place is small and about to be abandoned, but not so. Very crowded during weekends.

I had heard it was under new ownership and was good. I went out today with my daughter and enjoyed the full experience. We ate outdoors and it was nice. Food was good -- I will return.

Top notch fare, authentic historical site, great outdoor lawn area for kids, superior chefs, I could go on and on. Don’t miss this experience.

Always great food - top notch. A unique old-time cowboy saloon. Worth the drive out to the small town of Creston. Try their “Almost famous fried pickles”. Indoor and outdoor seating. Payed back, nothing stuffy even though food is gourmet.

A wonderful locals cowboy ‘bar & bites’ that is well worth a visit to get a sense of the wonderful hospitality and attitude of the Central Coast. The menu is limited but everything they do is tasty and fresh. Burgers and Fish & Chips especially...good. Great for families but the kids don’t get in the way of a good time for the grown ups. A great place on warm summer evenings with a very comfortable outdoor eating area. The new manager clearly knows how to run a tight ship and the service is friendly and welcoming....that’s the way they roll in this part of the world.More

This is a great place for casual dining! Lovely outdoor patio, the interior is more saloon-like. Very family friendly, there is a large half pipe that had all the kids playing on it. Nice stage for bands to perform on. The menu is mostly burgers...so not a lot of choices for non-burger eaters. Fish and chips were really good, and the fried pickles were a pleasant surprise. Will definitely go back!More

This former cowboy/biker bar has been transformed. The decor is the same but the menu is remarkable. While the main menu items are three great burgers (and usually a special one as well) it is the appetizers that are innovative and excellent. A Mexican shrimp...cocktail, and N’Ollins (New Orleans) shrimp boil are our two favorites but sometimes grilled artichoke and they change daily. Nothing elegant but great food and on some nights live music on the patio. I couldn’t get the rating buttons for service 4, food 5, and value 5 to work.More

ONCE UPON A TIME In the little town of Creston, just a few miles east of Paso Robles, CA, there was once a historic little cowboy "saloon" called the Longbranch which catered to the local cowboys and, on weekends, Harley "bikers", serving mostly burgers and...beer. But, very recently, a new owner bought the decades old saloom and <gasp!> cleaned it up (the Old West "saloon" / biker "ambiance" remains but in a distinctly cleaned up and family friendly way). They have now retained the help and expertise of a finely trained chef <gasp again> who transformed the menu and quality of dish options... now ranging from the best burgers in the county, gourmet ceasar salads, mahi mahi tacos, magnificent shrimp cocktails and, occasionally, steamed mussels and more. They now also feature a grand selection of beers and wines (from the owner's vineyard). The outdoor patio has been transformed with a skateboard tube and playground for the kids, lawn area, umbrella-shaded tables and a new performance stage for what are now regular concerts. It has become a locals' favorite, as well as people all across the county and wine touring visitors from everywhere. All in a matter of a few short weeks. Try it... you'll love this little gem of a bistro.More

I had dinner at the Long Branch with my aunt & uncle, cousins and some friends recently. The fried pickles to start was fantastic, but my burger was even better. Seriously one of the best I have ever had. Service was great.
