We are New Yorkers at heart.. Chinese is our comfort food and we are very very picky... Have been going to DH for 15? years, it has only gotten better...They have 2 menus, one for original Shanghai cuisine, the other for American-style. Terrific, expansive menu, excellent quality, very large portions, attentive service. Pricing is surprising on the low side for... More

There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try, but I ended up with a noodle soup with beef in it. I don't even know what it was called, but OMG it was delicious!!! And it was HUGE!! I couldnt even finish it all. I also tried the duck that my friend ordered and it was amazing.

I have been going to the restaurant for at least thirty years. The food is consistently good, and the service is great. I like the deluxe noodle dish.

My wife is away so I went out by myself, and went out early. Tried to get a table the on a Friday earlier this month but we didn't want to wait 20 to 30 minutes (the wife's internal dinner clock hadn't adjusted from Dallas to San Diego time yet). Glad I finally got to try it (always find it... More

Duck served 3 different ways the Peking is our favorite. The shrimp and walnut dish is delicious as are the lo meins and fried rice. You can do take out or eat there. Decor is nothing to write about but the food is yummy.

I was loving this place from the walk in the door. It is classic relaxed lighting and seating that welcomes you into the eating area. The serve interface starts early and as often as you require...very attentive. We were fortunate to be "guided" to the Double Happiness door by a Chinese co-worker, and thus our freedom to navigate off menu....thus... More

Double Happiness was, for many years, the quintessential Cantonese/American Chinese restaurant. With its roots in the 1960s, there were no surprises to the suburban palate. A couple of years ago, the owners retired and sold to Chef Zhu. All the old favorites are all there, now augmented with a second menu of more authentic dishes. No more do I long... More

Locals and tourists love this Mandarin Chinese restaurant because of the extensive menu and wonderful food--the hot-and-sour and egg drop soups are perfectly seasoned. We often order a pu pu platter which is variety of meats that uare served on a mini grill. The meats are already hot but you can grill them even more if you wish. The restaurant... More
